How are those rookies looking?

I’m probably jinxing it, but… he might be past that point and already poised beyond getting shell shocked. He’s been under constant duress so far and he’s shown no sign of looking at the pass rush or getting that deer in the headlights look. He just gets up and goes to the next play.

I’ve seen David Carr get shell shocked after getting beaten so bad, and I’ve seen Deshaun Watson win games with lungs bruised so bad he couldn’t fly to Jacksonville - I see more Watson in Stroud.

Let's hope he doesn't develop a fondness for massage parlors.

“Elite CB1” is absolutely an overstatement, but Christian Gonzalez has looked pretty good through two games.

He wasn’t taking Hill/AJB/Waddle/Smith man to man all night, though. Against the Miami duo especially, NE played a ton of zone. But when necessary, it looked like Gonzo was able to run with them down field.

A pick, 4th down PBU last week to keep NE in the game late, a sack, 13 tackles, and a 58.5 passer rating allowed is a solid start.

Brown - 0 snaps

Cam latu - 0 snaps (on IR because he was awful and they didn't want to cut him)

Darrell Luther - 0 snaps (pup)

Robert Beal - 0 snaps (IR... May return though)

Dee Winters- 0 snaps

Brayden Willis- 0 snaps

Ronnie Bell- 7 offensive snaps, baby!!! Jackpot!

Jalen Graham- 0 snaps

So in truth, the niners rookies are right where the team wants them to be, tbh.

Moody was perfect on his kicks in week 1.

Updated snaps for week 2:

0

0

0

0

27 in week 2 for Ronnie Bell, baby!!!

Moody continues to be perfect, including a 57 yard kick

Well Chicago passed on Jalen Carter...... and drafted 2 DTs who, despite playing have yet to record a single statistic in 2 games (Gervon Dexter and Zach PIckens)

A super fast receiver we have yet to throw the ball to because our QB qualifies as legally blind (Tyler Scott)

A really really talented RB who is 3rd on our depth chart, despite dramatically outplaying the other 2.... also getting very limited rushes because despite being the #1 rushing team in the league last year, we're airing the ball out 40x a game trying to teach Fields how to play QB (Roschon Johnson)

A corner who has some swagger and potential, but is also the guy who every offense wants to throw at all game, so not good but still optimisitic long term. (Tyrique Stevenson)

And a Right Tackle who is honestly doing pretty decent for a rookie OT. (Darnell Wright)

Again, favorable game plan - he wasn’t manning up on the speedsters all game or anything.

Atonio Mafi went in for Michael Onwenu (spent all camp on PUP, first game back and conditioning isn’t all the way there), looked like a rookie. Sidy Sow (started at guard last week for Cole Strange) was out with a concussion. Boutte was a healthy scratch. Mapu saw just under half the defensive snaps but was really only remembered for an unnecessary roughness penalty. Keion White played from 3-tech and didn’t have nearly the game he had that he had in Week 1.

Pop Douglas was getting plenty of touches on the first drive, but essentially got benched after his fumble. The team seems to love him as the pure slot option, but the NE offense has been running a lot of no huddle in 12 personnel, and with only two WRs on the field it makes more sense to have Parker/Bourne/JJSS in the field in those formations. He’s probably the quickest, fastest receiver on the team (minus Thornton, who’s injured) but his opportunity this week got cut short when he fumbled.

Gonzo was the only one who built off of his Week 1 performance.

It’s nice when the patriots have a good secondary player that isn’t 40 years old

Puka Nacua set the record for most receptions through the first two games of his career.

Byron Young is the first Ram in franchise history to record something in the sack column the first two games of his career.

Steve Avila has looked dominant at times and the Rams have the best redzone offense in the NFL.

For a team that desperately needed to hit on the draft...they did.

Dont forget how well Kobie Turner is playing. And have we even seen Tre Tomlinson? Like we all thought outside of Avila he was going to be the stud rookie for the Rams. So the Rams having all those draft picks I think like 13 they are hitting on alot of them. And oh cant forget about the punter who havent had to punt much (which is a good thing) but against the Seahawks didnt he hit like a 90+ punt? So yeah Im so happy about this draft class for the Rams.

Jalen Carter is him... and he has only played 50% of the snaps so far.

This very well could be viewed as the biggest failure of the Poles-Eberflus era (even though they did what I wanted them to do)
