The Arizona Cardinals are total idiots.  You see Isaiah Simmons off the edge on that blitz in the first series....

In Wink's defense the dude is going to be a terror to deal with with that kind of athletic ability and quickness and considering all of the creative ways they will use him.  Get rid of a guy like that for a 7th rounder?  Wow, he should have a really great year in that defense.

It’s crazy that he only went for a 7th. Every other team didn’t want to take a chance?

Now that the preseason is officially over, I have to say the coaching staff really managed each player's workload very well. First, it goes to show how much better the roster is that they are so confident to not play so many guys in games. Second, the whole training camp and preseason just seemed like a well-oiled machine. Limit injuries, compete in practice, take it easy during games. The injury bug hit us in the finale but really, Gervarrius Owens is the biggest one. Obviously BFW tearing his ACL is the most significant and sucks because it really seemed like he was going to make the roster but we was a gunner and gunner only. There is no dip in performance keeping Cam Brown. Owens also was going to play sparingly but he seemed like a guy that had a chance to see his role increase throughout the season. Even if he only misses a few weeks, that is going to significantly slow things down.

Remember last preseason: we had relatively serious injuries to Kayvon and Azeez and went the 1st 4 games with Jihad Ward and Oshane Ximines as our starting EDGEs. If the worst that we get this preseason are injuries to a bottom of the roster WR/ST player and our 7th round rookie safety, we did alright.

If there's a silver lining it's that most of the injured guys weren't expected to make the team anyway.

But I still feel bad for them (and a tad concerned) when a preseason game takes that much of a toll.
