I'm interested to see how TeamFriendlyDeal does this season. Can he win even a division if his main competition doesn't get injured?

Maybe.  Or maybe if the 60 percent of our OL missing in those games played, it might not have been that close.  Checking to make sure injuries affected both teams.

Although i’ll prob just wait like 4 years down the line when he’s like the 6th highest paid or something and say “see!”

I never said he'd take less.  I always prefaced "team friendly" with the way it was structured, not total dollars or guarantees.

Injuries only count if they hurt the Ravens.

One way or another his main competition doesn't show up at the end of seasons though

I am one Bengals fan who never said that...unless I did one late night after a couple too many.

And just like Mahomes deal, in a few years it will seem like one..

not issue with this deal what so ever

Remember when everybody flipped out over the contract the Browns gave Watson? He is already the 9th highest paid QB in the NFL 1.5 years later *shrug*

Looks like the 2nd best QB in the NFL right now with still upside room to grow. It’s a ton of money but kind of what is expected at this point. Next CBA needs to address maximum portion of the cap or dramatically increase the players side of the pie.

Making the QB salary not count towards the cap or minimum team total salary would make me happy. Having 1 position paid so highly is going to lead to a poorer quality game for us fans. One freak injury away from watching a season of the replacements.

yep.. that is what I was saying...  There will be QB's making 70 mill per year in like 2 years.

The next Jamarcus Russel is on a contract right now, the guy that tanks a team to the tune of 100 million bucks and puts them in purgatory for a few years while they redevelop their cap.

Part of the issue is that 10-15 years ago there were way fewer guys to pay.

Brady, Manning, Brees and maybe Farve were the knly guys competing for top dollar and Brady was going team friendly.

Now it is a bunch of guys getting paid silly money or are being talked about as elite, Mahomes, Herbet, Wilson, Carr, stafford, Watson, Burrow, Kyler, Lamar, Hurts, Jones. It is crazy.
