They've also said that they aren't going to talk extension with him now. So if they aren't extending him and aren't trading him, they are just being stupid

HoboRocket
8 minutes ago, Forge said: It was so dumb of Keim to not extend him. The argument was that he was potentially gonna mail it in once he was paid because he didn't start producing big numbers until year 4. But he was DRAFTED as a PROJECT and had to transition from an undersized DT to freaking middle linebacker because Keim loved to draft people who played different positions and shove them into an inside linebacker role. As soon as they put him at EDGE he was phenomenal and has stayed that way. AND he can cover. Keim really drafted Reddick (DE) Simmons (SS) and Collins (3-4 OLB) in round 1 and tried to make each of them a Mike. FFS. Trading Jamal Adams for a QB-like haul, drafting Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Vera-Tucker, Mekhi Becton, Quinnen and Quincy Williams, etc. Jets are never in cap hell, they never really get stuck in a bad contract they can't get out of... ...but at QB, they really screwed up. First they botched Zach Wilson and then they doubled down by bringing in Aaron Rodgers, who immediately made his demands known and further botched this roster. Did Joe Namath kill a Gypsy or something?

Did Joe Namath kill a Gypsy or something? Adams trade was great. Drafting Gardner, Wilson, Hall were not that special, anyone of a dozen plus poster here could have made those picks. Becton AVT haven't been great, but more injuries than anything else. Missing on Wlison and trading for Rodgers and not filling holes along the OL while adding the likes of Lazard, Cobb, Boyle, Cook is bending the knee to Rodgers as the person in charge.

You'll get nowhere with that level of commitment, young man. That said, the one weird rumor I heard that I will fully own to being to lazy/busy/currently sick to go verifying because I can't see how in the hell they've even manage to come up with the cap space, was Saquon to the Chargers. And yeah, if that happens... sorry, my head's all foggy and I can't even come up with something clever to add there.

Yeah, but just think of the entertainment we'd get from a Rodgers-led Jets in the Superb Owl... there has to be some company out there with the stone to do a commercial with all of A-Rod's former fiancees and girlfriends (Olivia Munn, Danica Patrick, maybe Shailene). We could really watch the world burn in real time if it was Pfizer that did the ad.
