candyman93
Honestly can’t think of 5 down given the weather. Jerome Ford needs to get better though. Just a bad game overall from him. Conklin being hurt again was disappointing. Everybody else gets a thumbs up for today.
Bonanza23
5 up: 1. We fired Joe Woods. 2 . 5 down: We didn’t fire Joe Woods last year. 6 Edited September 10 by Bonanza23 stupid
Kiwibrown
Chubb still looks amazing Cooper gets open Moore could be a good player Pass rush amazing Dbs amazing Down Tackles are bad, made of glass or a rookie Watson had some awful throws Ford isn't a zone runner Too much watson taking a pounding
LETSGOBROWNIES
Up 1. MJ Emerson. Holy hell, he looks like an absolute stud. 2. Z and Tomlinson. DL looked night and day different. 3. Schwartz. Small sample size obv, but he sure had things figured out today. 4. Nicholas Jamal. It seems he’s still decent at foosball 5. Delpit. Looked exactly like what we hoped we were getting when we drafted him. * Bonus. Hopkins. As advertised he makes the kicks he’s supposed to make. * Bonus. Big Thanos. Dude stepped in and looked like a legit stud. Exciting stuff. Down 1. Watson. Picking nits with any down tbh, but he was clearly off today. 2. The offensive scheme in general. It worked a bit I suppose but k really didn’t love what I saw today. Maybe converting some of the missed throws/drops changes my perspective.. 3. Conklin. Hope it’s not serious. 4. Ford. I’m glad he got some reps, but he’s not ready for a bigger role at all. I’ve got nothing else.
DawgX
Up: 1. Defense as a whole. Wet conditions certainly helped them out, but they just played smart and aggressive. Tomlinson will prove to be well worth the money he's being paid if he keeps it up. Z Smith was a force to be reckoned with. Oko made some nice plays too. The LBs are the weak spot, but even they played pretty well for the most part. CBs were great, and Emerson is showing he can play really well in man. Delpit had a very nice game. 2. Chubb. Just a stud. Love that guy. 3. Hopkins. Made the kicks he needs to in wet conditions. 4. Dawand Jones. Think we'll be okay if he needs to start. 5. ST. Besides one bad punt and a pretty big return to start the game, ST was very good. Down. 1. Watson certainly didn't look good today, but he got better as the game went on, IMO. And certainly when the weather somewhat cleared up. But his mechanics seemed off on a couple of plays, which is concerning. If he continues to look like this in coming weeks I'll be much more worried. 2. Wills. I was really hoping he'd elevate his play this year, but that wasn't the case today. He got beat bad a couple of times. 3. Ford. Couple of good runs, but also a few bad reads and a killer fumble.
JDD
Down: 1. Ford Fumble. Can’t do that. 2. Watson Under throws when we could have put the game away early 3. KS play calling in the 2nd Qrt when we should have leaned on 24 Up: 1. Yes 2. We won a home opener. Week 1. AFCN opponent. 3. Defense played top notch 4. Hopkins making great kicks today 5. Emerson being a stud
NateDawg
Chubb is always my #1 Defense as a unit Stefanski seemed to make some play style adjustments from last year with leshaun. He had me worried at first but still used Chubb as he should have. DBs locking down big time wideouts Tied for Division lead leshauns accuracy at times Think we could use another complementary RB Injury to Conklin yikes Bout all I got
MWil23
UP: 1. Week 1 win, home opener no less, vs a divisional opponent. I feel like that counts for about 9-20 things 2. Absolutely dominant defensively. More than points allowed, the physicality, tempo, swagger, and scheme were just 🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆 3. Rush game looked legit vs a good defense and KS really coached a gem making some solid adjustments throughout the game. Ho hum Chubb goes for 100+ at 5.9 YPC no big deal. 4. Kicker went 3-3 5. Dewand Jones stepped up and looked the part yesterday DOWN: 1. Conklin injury. I feel badly for him and it’s also a bad contract which I personally felt at the time 2. Ford didn’t look good even aside from a VERY BAD fumble. Not sure what we have after Chubb 3. Watson looked shaky, even weather aside. Late on throws and not throwing with rhythm or anticipation, quick to tuck and run, etc. 4. Since I’m not a teacher anymore I can’t rub it in these fair weather Bengal fans faces anymore
LETSGOBROWNIES
The one thing I’ll say about Ford’s performance is most of his touches came late in the game when everyone in the stadium knew we were running the ball. Zero element to surprise for him. I’m glad he got the touches though. Maybe just knock some rust off, get him going, etc.

The fumble was damning, but Chubb would have also gotten lambasted late in the game with the pressures they were dialing up.
candyman93
Feel awful for Conklin, but I’m extremely excited for Dawand Jones. He’s one of the few human beings on the planet bigger than Conklin.

DaWg_LB.
I;m going with the Unsung Hero's in this game...folks have stated the obvious... Harrison Bryant, was SOLID blocking all day and had a couple nice catches, including the TD. Dewand Jones, went out there in a tough situation and Locked Down the RT slot...not bad for a rookie 4th rounder. Rodeny McLoud Jr. Played the deep Center Field all day, kept the DB;'s lined up properly and allowed Delpit to be deployed all over the field. VERY underated signing IMO. Okorwonkwo....that dude plays the game at 100MPH.... DT rotation, having Tomlison and Harris is good to have Grown Men in the Trenches, but our young Dlineman looked solid, the DE we took out of UAB in the 3rd last year and Jordan Elliot looked like a competent NFL DT.

I feel like he’s the special sauce that helped lead to the positive outcomes on the back end with his experience in Schwartz’s scheme. 27 minutes ago, DaWg_LB. said: Okorwonkwo....that dude plays the game at 100MPH.... Man that whole defense in general just looked… different. Dudes played with an edge, angry. It was a nice change of pace from always seeming to be the ones taking the punishment instead of dishing it out. I don’t even mean having success, I just mean playing a physical brand of football. Even when they had success before it always seemed sorta finesse.
