Yea but you still have to work for Haslam.

Not ignoring that, but most won't care because they'll have all that capital and will believe him when he says things like "You've got time" or "It's your show".

I don't think a top GM candidate is that dumb or gullible. These guys know what happens to their colleagues. Maybe they choose to ignore it because of the assets Cleveland has, but they won't be unaware.

People are arrogant. They'll assume with all of the draft and free agency capital that they won't mess it up, will get at least 2 years, and by then, after righting the ship, will have a lot of security.

Feel terrible for Browns fans and any fans of pro teams who are stuck with terrible ownership. As a fan there's just little to no hope since the owner can't fire himself.

Why on earth would Haslam announce that Hue would be the coach for next season lol. You let the new GM come in and bring in his guy for coach

Hope this is the reason.  More Haslem influence isn’t the answer:

So what is to stop someone like John Dorsey coming in and saying bye bye to Jackson? I would assume a new GM would have the authority to get his own man in the building...

BUT NEVER COUNT HUE OUT!

Sounds like he already knows who he’s hiring and got the ok on Hue.
