Gibson also has elite speed and athleticism and makes the perfect reclamation project for someone. I get it, but is he really worth trading for at this point? What do you think we could reasonably get? I doubt more than a pick swap. I'd rather just keep him this year, use him for pass catching, and let him walk. I was talking as a free agent next off-season, i don’t think he has any value currently.

Oh, then we're on the same page. Someone will definitely sign him in the offseason.

Probably the same thing the Rams got for Akers, a swap of future late round picks and possible a future conditional late round pick. (So pretty much peanuts)

RSkinGM
He made a hellova important catch on a bullet from Howell- thrown behind him, at a crucial point against Philly. I hope we keep him .

I will say, all it takes is one fumble on a kick return, that the opposing team recovers, and I would cut him outright. That is pretty much his saving grace for me right now, that he hasn't fumbled a kick yet, and is good in open space/has return TD potential. Outside screens & 3rd down back is what he should be. Like strictly the McKissic role. CRod should get 5-10 carries a game to give BRob his rest, NOT Gibson. The Bears have been bottom of the barrel against receiving backs, allowing the most receiving yards and the most receiving touchdowns. So Gibson looks good in this game. As for the bears run defense it is not a pushover like their secondary. The Bears have held rushers to the 12th-lowest explosive run rate while bolstering the eighth-highest stuff rate.

I'm thinking if he goes to a dome team he may fumble less bc his one fumble vs Arizona in the huge rain storm.

lavar703
I hate doing things like this. I hate making proclamations about a guy or honestly just being overly positive because when it comes to this team it always makes me look stupid but here goes. This will be Howell’s coming out party. This is the game he puts the league on notice that he’s here to stay. Washington 42 Bears 27 Howell and Fields both go off and it’s back and forth before the 4th quarter where we get a couple of turnovers. Score isn’t indicative of how close the game is.

I like a closer game because it's Thursday. I think we win, but the Bears cover. 24-20 'Ders. there is a HUGE difference to me between 3-2 and 2-3. Just a much different tone. We need to win this.
