KC puts Dee Ford on IR

No Marcus Peters...already decimated at S with the Eric Berry injury....LB play so weak, and now this.  Ford hadn't been up to his 2016 form, but Justin Houston on his own has been generating zero pressure.   Man, KC is free-falling with no end in sight.

He hasn't played in 5 weeks, so this isn't exactly something new. Not really a "now this" situation. Just more of what was already an issue.

Fair point - without any hope for return though the pass rush seems straightforward to neutralize.    Much like our D has clear weaknesses that are more than a 1-off for 2017 only, upgrading EDGE seems like it becomes just as big a priority as ILB for KC in the offseason short and long term.  By himself Houston looks a shell of his peak days.

The days when the AFCW & NFCE were debated as the toughest division seem like years ago rather than the start of the season.

I still think the AFC West is up for grabs. Even though the Chiefs had really made it hard on themselves, they still have three home games left against the Raiders, Chargers, and Dolphins. Their last game is a road game against the Broncos.

Every team in that division looks like a one and done candidate though even if they make the playoffs. Of course, the entire AFC is lackluster this year.

One of these three teams have a good chance of winning their first playoff game if they get in. The Titans are bad, the Ravens offense is historically bad, and the Jaguars are lead by Blake Bortles.
