Is Hurts being the best QB while trailing and Dak being the worst a team stat as well? Seems important to be able to play from behind.

Are we going to pretend like the Niners game doesn’t specifically have basically everything to do with that? We all know the Dallas offense had to work on finding its identity at the start of the season.

It’s funny — when Dak has had a history of carving teams up for big yardage in comeback attempts it was always dismissed as garbage, empty stats. But now that we have one game weighting the narrative against him we’re going to pretend like he can’t play from behind. We all know that he can.

And it’s questionable to hold it against him that he has had cases of helping his team tear opponents up early and put them away.

That's true, Dak was super clutch against Arizona.

Again, the offense was finding its identity with a new OC. They moved the ball well, they just had some struggles in the RZ early in the season. Let’s not pretend like Dak Prescott can’t move the football when we have an abundance of evidence saying otherwise.

The point remains the same that the Niners game is weighting his passer rating in that situation. It’s absurd to pretend like Dak is literally the worst QB in the league playing from behind because of one game this season. It shouldn’t even be a talking point. Dak is killing it, period.

Besides leading the Jags to the 5th best record in the NFL?

All 3 of their losses have been 2+ touchdown losses (including today losing by 30+), and their wins are pretty much exclusively against bad/below average teams sans Buffalo. He has 9 passing touchdowns through 10 weeks.

Am I missing something here? Is there some additional context like with Lamar where the stats really don't tell the whole story?

He didn’t give up 37 and 34 to the Texans and 49ers. Only lost by 8 to the Chiefs fwiw.

Tua and Purdy have the same record, both have better stats, and one just outplayed him today. Dak, Pickett, and Geno are also 6-3 but you'd be laughed out of the room for suggesting any of them are MVP candidates

No, but he did score 17 and 3, and curious you mention how much the defense gave up in those games and not the Chiefs game where he scored 9 points.
