Especially when you can have a leg up on interviewing staff. Chicago and New Orleans are lining up interviews with Zac Robinson (Rams QB coach) and Klint Kubiak (49ers) for their OC spots. If they want to go the experience route, Marvin Lewis was in the building assisting with the defense too. We are hiring a HEAD coach they have to be able to better both sides of the ball. That’s a big reason why I haven’t pounded the table for a guy like Johnson who is an offensive wunderkin because I don’t know what he’ll bring on the defensive side of the ball.
