Just Bo…..the QB killer Do you think it is a coincidence that he has been the QB coach / an offensive assistant in 5 different instances where guys regress, have the worst year of their career, and then get shipped out of town? If happened once or twice I think you could write it off but the dude is like the Anti-QB developer at this point. I know you may believe @ronjon1990 when he said he could be McVay 2.0. But we have a large sample size of this man destroying QB's careers. I mean his two main mentors are Adam Gase and JMD. A HS OC and an unemployed hack. NYRaider
I'm fine with them keeping AP if that's what they ultimately decide to do. But to see some of y'all suggest Bo Hardigree and Adam Gase are who you want to develop a rookie QB is insane.

I’d imagine that , Graham and the most of the defense to staff will stay. The offense staff probably will have an overhaul. There was the article that they bonded being in the gym the same time. AP tabbed him as the OC and felt they had a similar philosophy for how they want to attack. Now they are "best friends" You can't just make stuff up all the time and pretend that it is true.

They're obviously close enough that AP hand picked him to be his OC while Mick got canned.

That would mean Champ and AP to get the permanent jobs. They then absolutely need to keep PG around as DC. I can see them giving him the ***.HC label. The next step is to find the OC. While I think Bo had shown some progress and he has some good playcalls and the run game got better since he took over, I would still be much more relaxed if we could hire a more experienced OC, even if just for a year or two...Bo could learn and develope behind a new OC as QB coach or passing/running game coordinator or something... I can't really see that a guy like Frank Smith joining us as OC, just to step out of McDaniel's shadow...I think he will have HC opportunities as soon as this offseason and then if not, he could still have an easier path with Miami, then with us...obviously we can't say for sure and he has some Raiders and Kelly conncetions, but I would highly doubt we can get him or a guy like him... There could be a situation where we stick with Bo and bring in solid veteran O staff members to help him develope as an OC, as a playcaller. Or obviously we could try to get a new OC and either keep Bo as QB coach or let him walk, let the new OC build his own staff... I think our WR, TE, RB and OL coaches did a solid job so far, so I would't want to tear apart the hole O staff, just to have a new one. We should try to upgrade where we can, but shouldn't let everyone walk just because they were brought in by JMD...PG and AP was also brought in by the previous regime... Greg Roman was already mentioned in another thread who could be an interesting OC candidate for us. He is a proven OC, who worked on his own before, he has connections to fill out a staff and he worked successfully with mobile QBs before. We could have the chance to trade for or to draft a mobile QB during the upcoming offseason, so this could actually work IMO. His run based O philosophy could also sit well with AP. He wouldn't be a threat to leave us soon for a HC gig, even if our O is doing good. Ken Dorsey could be another target IMO. He was thrown under the bus in Buffalo. At least that was my impression, I haven't watched them enough before or after his firing to know, whether he was really the issue there... Kellen Moore, Thomas Brown and Eric Bienemy will be on the market most probably, but neither strike me as home run hires... There are two guys who kinda interesting to me on the Rams staff. Zac Robinson is their pass game coordinator/QB coach and work under McVay since 2019. The other one is Jake Peetz, who also has some Raiders ties too He is now the pass game specialist for the Rams, was LSU's OC in 2021 and was our QB coach under JDR, he worked with Carr, when he seemed like an up and coming fr.QB... Kevin Patullo from the Eagles or Jerrod Johnson from the Texans could also be in the mix, like many others...I don't know enough about these guys to really speculate... Good post, nice to hear some names of potential hires. Honestly, I don’t know enough about any potential guys that are QB coaches or pass game coordinators or anything to make an educated opinion at who our next OC could be 😁 I think the one thing we should look for is a steady hand to develop a rookie if we go that way, of course if we trade for a kid like Fields then a guy like Roman makes sense. What’s Bill Musgrave up to these days?

We need to target the ones that failed his head coaches already so they won't get looked at for that. Gase or potentially Arthur smith if he gets fired are also solid options. Hej, that’s a very interesting point. I feel if Pierce gets, say, a three year contract the OC will need to grow with him as that seems to be AP’s area of weakness and he’ll need a steady hand on the tiller. We wouldn’t want to change OC every year especially if we draft a young rookie.
Justwinning
Greg Roman would be interesting if we had Fields at QB, but his offense's plateau. Really excited to see how we address the OC and QB spots. Should be a fun off-season ahead!
