We have no faith in Nugent but sticking Trubisky in the shotgun and having Shaheen on the field is real progression instead of lining up heavy and trying to run Howard up the middle. Shaheen should have taken a step up toward Trubisky, allow himself to better shield the ball with his big body. We worked on that a lot in college, just understanding body leverage and how to force yourself between the defender and where the pass should be. He will get there.
