nicfre2011
Thoughts on the 2024 TE class beyond Bowers? Is Ja'Tavion Sanders from Texas a solid prospect that projects more as a "move" TE with minimal looks inline? Thoughts on Luke Lachey from Iowa, AJ Barner from Michigan, and Cade Stover from Ohio State? Also is Oronde Gadsden a mid-round move TE or more of a jumbo WR prospect? BetterCallSaul
I think it’s a weaker TE class. Brock Bowers is gonna tear it up. Stud. Ja’Tavion Sanders is very intriguing. Love the upside. Mitchell Evans (not sure he declared) is a later round guy I really like. Cade Stover is rock solid, but unspectacular. I think he is a middling starter. I couldn’t bring myself to watch a lick of Iowa this year, so idk about Lachey.

Actually don't you mean 2025 class? Because Lachey, Barner and Gadsden are all returning to school and are not in the up coming draft. Did Cade Stover say he was returning? As for the guys you mentioned not sure any are the top TE in 2025. Gadsden is interesting but depends on how he comes back from injury but really he is a big body WR more than a TE to me. Lachey I need to see more of honestly, injuries this year who knows what he is like after that. 2025 Colston Loveland Michigan JR Dallin Holker Colorado State Tyler Warren Penn State RS Mason Taylor LSU Oscar Delp Georgia JR Mitchell Evans Notre Dame Caden Prieskorn Ole Miss RS Kole Taylor West Virginia RS Rivaldo Fairweather Auburn RS CJ Dippre Alabama Kyle Morlock Florida State RS AJ Barner Michigan RS This is how I would have the top guys assuming Stover declares. Prieskorn had a great bowl game and was very good on Memphis, could be awesome next year for Ole Miss if he continues what he looked like in that bowl game, so he could move up. Fairweather also had good bowl game for a stretch, see if he can be more consistent and rise up. Loveland is the clear top and Holker can ball out and is a big time pass catcher, and Warren is super physical and tough. Kole Taylor could be another big time riser with his size and athletic ability, really like him. These are some sleepers, I like Helm and he will be improved next year, Tharp is a big guy who they need to use more, Carr I love his basketball background and he could have a breakout year in a better offense assuming he does transfer. Conyers is a real wild card, love his running ability, played wild cat QB and RB at times on ASU, could be a real riser in a more solid offense and could increase his stock a lot. Gunnar Helm Texas Mason Tharp Texas Tech Maliq Carr Michigan State RS Jalin Conyers Texas Tech RS As for 2024 draft the other top guys are below, Spann-Ford with that size has tons of potential but was not great this past year but neither was that Gophers passing game. Stover yes will be interesting but the real wild card is McLachlan, he could be the 3rd TE taken if he works out well, I love his mobility and overall athletic ability. Sinnott is a stud also who is a great blocker and could be a beast HB, Bell is so versatile and Westover is coming on especially if he works out well athletically. Brevyn Spann-Ford Minnesota RS Cade Stover Ohio State RS Tanner McLachlan Arizona RS Ben Sinnott Kansas State RS JR Jaheim Bell Florida State Jake Westover Washington RS* Edited January 6 by Ozzy

I didn't take the time to look up the underclassmen to confirm declarations, so good to know.
armsteeld
Trey Knox is an Evan Engram type TE with WR skills. Very under the radar but he has tremendous talent.
Daniel
Bowers obviously needs no discussion. Bell and Sanders are a head above the others I've looked at though. I think both could be excellent weapons in the NFL. Stover's been brought up, and he's as unspectacular as it gets, but also does everything passably well, so he'd be a good addition to any roster. Theo Johnson from Penn State started the season as my TE2, but he's not really done much this year. Potentially a sleeper though, because he absolutely has talent, and is a better weapon than Strange was, and Strange went really early in the draft (though he was also a much better blocker). Haven't had a chance to watch much of Sinott, but he's high on a lot of lists.

You've obviously got Bowers as TE1 and probably a top 10 pick. Ja'Tavion Sanders might go off the board late in the first round, but seems more like an early Day 2 pick. I just don't have anyone beyond those two that are worthy of top 96 picks.

Tanner McLachlan Arizona RS Ben Sinnott Kansas State RS JR Brevyn Spann-Ford Minnesota RS Jaheim Bell Florida State Cade Stover Ohio State RS 3 or 4 out of these five could easily end up being picked before the end of the 3rd round. Sinnott and Spann-Ford for sure because their versatility as a blocker, Spann-Ford is basically a OT who can go out and catch passes. Dude is legit as a blocker and so is Sinnott who is one hell of a pass catcher as well. Bell is another who is so versatile and can play RB if asked, he could easily be gone by the 3rd round also. Even if a guy like McLachlan or Stover fall to the 4th or 5th so what, both are still play and have a good chance of being effective pass catchers in the NFL from the TE position. Daniel
I don't think it's a weak class by any stretch. It's not a strong class, but it's pretty average to me. One blue chip, two weapons, like four guys I expect to see playing Sundays pretty immediately, if in small roles, and then some chaff. Accounting for guys that will blow up after the combine or get exposure because they played for smaller schools, that seems like a pretty reasonable class. nicfre2011
I think the Chiefs might have missed the boat last year to add Kelce's heir to the roster.
DirtyDez
Both Cowherd and McShay have Bowers going #5. I’m guessing there’s less than a 10% chance of happening. 😂
