  1. 1. Who gets revenge?

Lions play their first home playoff game in 30 years. Ford Field hosts its first Lions playoff game in history. Brad Holmes and Jared Goff hosting their former team while Matthew Stafford returns to Detroit after packing his bags for sunshine and a Super Bowl. Lots of stories, lots of drama, lots of detractions. Head to head, who gets the job done?

Stafford, Puka, Kupp, Kyren vs Goff, Monty, Gibbs, St. Brown, Jamo

Aaron Donald vs Penei Sewell

Havenstein vs Hutchinson

McVay vs MCDC

I simply can’t see a world in which the rams lose! Unless the Lions go crazy. This reminds me so much when we played against Atl in 17. We were the young team. Atlanta came in to La and beat us simply because they had experience. It was painful! But it led to better roads.. Playoff factor is a thing and one team is dripping from it.

Rams have shut down some good stout games. Lions don’t go deep and that’s where the rams can be had. I see Stafford carving up Detroit with Kupp and Puka, I don’t think det has an answer. Plus setting up the run with arguably the second best RB this season. Idk. IlL be shocked if we lose.

Rams get her done and embarrass Goff. McVay will completely outcoach Cambell.

Rams 31 Lions 24 (but not as close as a one score game would normally indicate).

Sets up an interesting LAR 49er rematch if Dallas holds serve. Of all the divisional teams, I trust the Rams the most.

Do people realize the Rams have the 22nd DVOA Defense and 32nd DVOA ST?

Have to take advantage of those.

Our special teams is something stupid like the 6th worst since DVOA started being  tracked or since the 80s.....historically bad.

From watching Detroit this year, I think their punt return game is strong and we've allowed two punt return TDs. I think the kicking game is similarly sketchy for both teams - I see both going for a lot of 4th and mediums in opponent territory.

Our defense is young and prone to lapses when we're up - overall I think this is a case where DVOA isn't spot on. Our defense actually allowed less points against what I imagine was better offenses overall but I don't feel like looking it all up.

Offensively when Stafford/Puka/Kupp/Kyren play I think we rate better than Detroit, but that's a smaller sample size.

I think it's as even a match up as you can get overall.

Seems like a 50/50 game like almost every other playoff matchup this year. Crowd is going to be a factor, like the floor is vibrating kind of factor. Campbell couldn't have asked for a better opponent to motivate his own guys.

Everyone focuses on Goff, but Stafford is going to be juiced for this game, which usually means he's late and high early in the game before settling in.

Sets up to be a fun one  with big plays galore.

What's wild is that in 2021 going into week 18, the Rams were 12-4 and the Niners 9-7. Niners won in LA, Rams finished 12-5 and won the division while the Niners finished 10-7 for the 6 seed. We ultimately played in the NFCCG because the  Rams were the 4 seed that year.

This season going into week 18, the Niners were 12-4 while the Rams were 9-7. The Rams won in SF, Niners finished 12-5 and won the division while the Rams finished 10-7 for the 6 seed.

I think we're going to beat Detroit, then lose to the Niners while they go on to win it all. Hope I'm wrong and honestly I think I'd take a loss to the Lions as a trade for them not winning it all...

You know who else is prone to 2-3 turnover games?

Yea that'll be interesting. Our PR Raymond got injured so we will see what kind of production in punt returns.
