I stopped worrying about the cap years ago because of Howie. However it's not just Smitty and Surtain but Hurts, AJ, Lane, Jordan, Landon, Saquon as well. So no its not as easy as you suggest even if they move on from Slay,JB and BG. Those cap numbers are rising for every name above "contractually"! It’s like they don’t know Howie yet. If he can get him, he’ll make the numbers work. Getting guys under the cap for one year is easy. Retaining them long term is the trickier part.
