I also like Jeremy Chinn too though. You seem to be accepting that Curl played on a terrible defense, but won't give the same courtesy to Chinn. Hopefully Quinn and Whitt can unlock Chinns potential. And hit hard! curl was not one to cause a lot of fumbles. I think the emphasis on defense to force turnovers it what’s going to be key this year. Curl ran a 4.6 Chinn run a 4.45 We are putting together a fast team on all sides of the ball. Curl doesn't fit that role/scheme. SS Curl has a Superstar x-factor in Madden 24 on our Defense. (At least with the default settings/roster) He's a beast! So why do I trade him immediately, when starting a new season in franchise mode. Because he's too, damn slow. Too light to play LBer Too slow for man-to-man coverage. Too slow for zone coverage. The ONLY way to use him, is as an "in the box Safety" to help stop the run. Sorry guys...my Safeties have to be able to do more than that. So basically...Curl is a slower version of Landon Collins. (4.53) But a better football player than Collins. Chinn's issues has been injuries. If he can stay healthy, he could be an upgrade over Curl. Big if, I know. But you know what you have in Curl. If you want to pick & choose to be pissed off with Quinn, Peters or whomever because your bored. Fine... Just pick a different player. They were right to let Curl walk. He's slow as ****... So if you're wondering why Jamin Davis is still on the team & want to complain about that? Ask yourself....what does Jamin have, that most Linebackers don't have? Congratulations...you're a genius. THIS.ISNT.MADDEN Chinn's issues aren't just injuries. Its also that he can't cover. It is absolutely undeniable that Curl has been a better player over these last two years and we let him walk over a couple million. I don't agree with the move and this also doesn't take into account the fact that Curl is younger. They decided to move on and that's fine but I will do exactly like I did when Rivera was hired and I will criticize moves that I don't agree with and if I'm wrong you can all throw it back in my face a year from now.
