El Ramster
Internal hiring.. Was interviewing for the Dolphins DC position. Guess McVay liked what he saw. Congrats Shula on becoming a HC for the eagles in 2025. he got that dawg in him.

TheKillerNacho
Grandson of Don Shula, so would've been neat to see him as a Dolphin, but I don't think we're really missing out on much, here.
Rrrrrrrams
the dolphins tried to get an interiew with shula and the next moment the rams gave him the gig... in mcvay we trust. if mcvay wants him, than shula is the best dc in the world. i guess. staley was really impressing the dolphins front office. Agreed I had 4-5 guys ahead of him. Kinda crazy that is this is Aubrey’s 4th-5th passed up as a DC for the Rams 😂 I wonder if he has resentment for McVay. I know he flamed out in Det and there were things not in his favor but man.
LeotheLion
I have complete blind trust in McVay with coaches so I'll let this play out. But it certainly feels underwhelming.
minutemancl
Interesting. I thought Staley was a lock to get this job.

Football_Bachelor08
Just glad it's not Staley. I don't know how anyone could look at his Chargers tenure and say "Yeah, that guy deserves another job."
MaddHatter
Had him on my list for Dallas if we lost Quinn and didn’t promote Whitt
jrry32
McVay doesn't usually promote from within on defense. Must have been really impressed with Shula. We'll see what he's made of. 39 minutes ago, Football_Bachelor08 said: Just glad it's not Staley. He was a head coach there, not a DC.

I came in here to point and laugh that Staley damaged his reputation so much he couldn't even get his old job back.
