Analysis:

Each team is fighting tooth and nail to make the playoffs as of right now. This matchup could and most likely will be very different in two weeks when they meet again in Miami. The Bills are still trying rebound from 3 game skid during the middle of the season that set them back. Miami is coming off a huge upset over New England last Monday night. The winner of this game will continue their playoff push while the loser might as well pack up and go home.

The Bills are expected to start Tyrod Taylor who missed last week with a knee injury. His mobility will be key for the offense as it helps the running game open up lanes and the Bills are pretty effective when they have him roll out. LeSean McCoy has shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon and you know getting the chance to help Buffalo make the playoffs for the first time in 17 years will be driving him. Defensively the Bills continue to struggle against the run and that could be a huge factor in Sundays game. They will have to make Miami one dimensional and more importantly make Jay Cutler play from behind where their opportunistic secondary can make plays.

A week ago most Dolphins fans not only assumed their season was probably over but there were some who wanted Gase gone already. Fast forward to today and they are talking playoffs. After how they played against New England, it is certainly warranted. Kenyan Drake has been a pleasant surprise and then some in the wake of the Ajayi trade. He should be a focal point of the Dolphins offense moving forward and especially on Sunday. Jay Cutler has played well at times but he is still the turnover machine we all love. On defense, the Dolphins have been good but not great. They have allowed over 20 points in 9 games including 3 games over 30 or more. Shutting down the Bills offense shouldn't be hard if their D-line stays in their gaps and closes the pocket on Tyrod.

I think this game strictly comes down to home field advantage and Buffalo having the offense that doesn't turn the ball over. I expect McCoy and Drake to run wild but Tyrod will score on the ground as well and Cutler will throw 2 INTS. The weather won't be as bad as last weekend but it could still play a part in the game. Miami 16 Buffalo 26.

So basically if (and a huge if) we sweep the Dolphins, we need the Titans to lose 2 of the next 3 -one of those losses has to be to Jacksonville

If KC wins on Saturday then Buffalo is in great shape because they always make the playoffs in a 3 way tie at 9-7 between LA-Ten-Buf.

If LA wins on Saturday we then either need the Titans to lose out and Baltimore win out (so only KC and Buffalo finish at 9-7) or KC to also lose at home to Miami or @ Denver so Buffalo and Tennessee tie at 9-7 and the Bills get in on common opponent percentage.

For sanity sake its much easier to keep track of things if the Ravens win out and we concede a playoff spot to them. Though an upset this week or in week 17 isn't out of the question.

So basically, go Bills x2 against Miami, go Chiefs vs. LAC and go either SF/LAR vs Tennessee and absolutely go Jacksonville vs Tennessee.

Do we have tie breaker over Chiefs and not against LA ?

Head to head yes. But the likelihood of just Buffalo and KC being tied for a spot or Buffalo and LA tied for a spot is really low.

In a 3 way tie with Tennesse, we want it to be LA and not KC.

Edit: To put it simply, if LA wins we then need KC to lose at home to Miami or @ Denver as well as have the Titans lose out - all predicated on the Bills sweeping Miami

Whereas if KC wins, it doesn't matter what LA does and we would need Tennessee to lose only 2 of the last 3 with one of them being against Jacksonville. - all predicated don the Bills sweeping Miami

We have head to head tie with KC. Chargers have head to head tie vs Bills. Charger Bills, Titans 3 way tie goes to Bills. KC, Bills, Titans 3 way tie goes to Chiefs.

So if KC wins we are pretty much hoping Titans lose two games. But if Chargers win we gotta hope the Titans lose three games. Looking at their schedule either could happen.

I'm not rooting for either Chargers or KC cause it's impossible to know what Titans would do.

That's pretty much my thinking too. It won't be until after that game that we know what we need from the Titans.
