Best and worst?

What is the best amateur Steelers site, YouTube clips, and or podcast?

Best to me = SteelersDepot

Worst = Chat Sports

Most Annoying = Anything that includes Arthur Moats’ voice…

I’d like to know about any other good ones, this is obviously the best message board. What do you consider the best, and most informed Steeler content site?

They all have their bad and their good.

Locked On - Chris is a little too forgiving on some things and too harsh on others.  But he does do a good job in finding more things to talk about in the offseason.  Something I like that other LO hosts do that I wish Chris did was some "fan hosts" in the offseason where he allows guests to join him for the epidose.

SD - They know their numbers and ball, but Dave can really be a bully on it being his way, especially on his opinion of players.  Alex is really good but doesn't really interact a ton with fans.  I think they would really take a big step forward if Dave faded back, Alex became more the 'face' of the operation, and some of the other guys got a bit more shine.

BTSC - That hole network has really done downhill man.  At one point it was like a lot of college kids with a passion blogging about their favorite teams.  About 6-8 years ago their prime writing group wanted to monetize more, and rather than keep them they moved on en mass.

McFadden/Peterson's podcast - fantastic except they talk about a bunch of other teams so it's not Steeler centric.

Footbhallen with Big Ben - Honestly....can't listen to it.  Too many inside jokes, too much still about him, too much talking about other stuff.  Ben should focus on doing something else with this podcast.

Cam Heyward - The best.  He gives insight to the team. He talks technical without being smart about it.  I can't wait until he retires because he's going to crush this stuff.

Yinz Know Ball - hit or miss.  Some episodes are amazing, and some of them are rambling messes.  Problem is it's about halfway through that you figure out which kind it is but that's about 40 minutes you waste.

Honorable Mention that isn't Steelers Centric - Goeff Schwartz is smarter than you.  Amazing for offensive line insight.  He really is good at this.  The title implies it but he can be condensending about questions but he's good with his answers.  Does chug the Chiefs kool-aid too much.  Ross Tucker podcast is a real entertaining listen.  Good, has insight, but jokes around so everything stays light and informative.

The best1: The Ramon Foster Show is the best but he can be swayed by DK too much. I'd like to hear how Ramon really feels.

The best2: Steelers_DB is an expert at breaking down film. He truly knows football. Normally sticks to football which is perfect for me. He and Alez Kozora are tied for the best Steelers content creators.

The Worst 1: Arthur Moats w/Deke. Maybe 10 minutes of actual football with the rest shotgunned around Deke's fanboyism and bad takes. Moats is too nice to be factual. Overall, a pretty bad show.

The Worst 2: Steelers Depot. @warfelg hit their strengths and weaknesses.

Up and coming: Couch Potato General Manager is something I recently discovered. I like the fact they go deep with prospects and actually know what to look for in prospects. Three different guys with their own views on improving the team which provides plenty of content per show.

I got a good example of that makes Chris Carter good and bad.

He’s talking about the draft and LBers. He does a decent job at IDing the rounds guys should go in - BUT when he likes a guy he goes overboard and ignores all the bad.

Recently talking about Peyton Wilson and he said “well whatever you ignore that” when it comes to Wilson’s injury history and points to Washington working out as why it’s ok to ignore it.

I think that’s just such a good contrast of what makes him a good, but annoying, listen. Because I can tell you his mock draft Mondays will feature these guys he really likes even if they aren’t good as the process continues.
