dang it, was hoping be would be a under radar Pats signing

agreed, or just Stafford figures out not to abuse Puka with targets

That's why they need to use a third receiver more. I don't want to see Puka run into the ground. We saw the Saints rely too heavily on Michael Thomas and now he can't stay healthy.

Honestly a meh signing. Essentially wiping out the c cut. He’s good and ok but we could have done better with that money.. I would rather have seen Tutu in a bigger Role and he showed early on with Kupp that he could.

I don't trust Tutu's durability over the course of a long season because of his rail thin frame

I think the bigger concern and what is likely keeping Tutu off the field as much - and some of that could be attributable to his frame, but there are and have that have shown it doesn't frame doesn't have to be a negative factor in this - is his run-blocking isn't really all that up to snuff.  One of the things that is a clear staple of Sean's offense is he doesn't want transparency/easy-legibility of the play-to-come from pre-snap observation.  So, if Tutu was on the field it was generally pretty observable that if the play was a rushing play, it was going to be a rushing play (either bubble screen or reverse - and we had lower incidences of reverses this past season) to Tutu, otherwise it was a clear passing play.

Also, I feel like bringing Robinson back, at least on a one-year deal, is as much a result of Higbee's injury and where the targets are come from.

Isn't he the guy that runs backwards on punt returns?

Yep! And receptions. The play against San Fran where MVS ran backwards gave all Chiefs fans flashbacks of Demarcus. Though, this is probably the most Demarcus Robinson play in his Chiefs tenure:

In all seriousness, Robinson is a guy who deserves a roster spot. Excellent blocker. Good tools, just lacks the ability to make smart choices downfield. Will juke backwards as if he's Tyreek Hill or Reggie Bush. Not great at tracking the ball. Bit sloppy with his route running. But he's a great teammate, does the unselfish stuff well, and is more physically talented than you would think. I imagine he's a decent fit with the Rams, too. Depth guy, but more of a perimeter guy, so him in 3 or 4 WR sets helps them move Kupp or Puka inside.

$5M does feel steep, though at least $1M of that is incentive based.
