I would trade Virgil Green to the Bills (and maybe a late pick) for Ragland. The Bills don't have a quality backup to Charles Clay.

Given Ragland is ownable for 2 more seasons and Green is done after this year, we probably need to throw in a conditional pick as well.  But that's a start for sure.

Joseph confirmed after last night's game that Charles is on the team.

Here's my penultimate stab at the roster. Will take one more after the final game:

QB: Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch

RB: CJ Anderson, Jamaal Charles, Devontae Booker, DeAngelo Henderson

FB: Andy Janovich

WR: Demaryius Thomas, Cody Latimer

WR: Emmanuel Sanders, Jordan Taylor

WR: Bennie Fowler, Isaiah McKenzie

TE: Virgil Green, Jeff Heuerman, AJ Derby

LT: Garrett Bolles, Donald Stephenson

LG: Allen Barbre, Max Garcia

C: Matt Paradis, Connor McGovern

RG: Ronald Leary

RT: Menelik Watson

DE: Derek Wolfe, Zach Kerr, Shelby Harris

NT: Domata Peko, Kyle Peko, Tyrique Jarrett

DE: Jared Crick, Adam Gotsis

OLB: Von Miller, Kasim Edebali, Demarcus Walker

ILB: Brandon Marshall, Zaire Anderson

ILB: Todd Davis, Corey Nelson

OLB: Shane Ray, Shaquil Barrett

CB: Chris Harris Jr, Brendan Langley

CB: Aqib Talib, Lorenzo Doss

CB: Bradley Roby

FS: Darian Stewart, Justin Simmons

SS: TJ Ward, Will Parks

K: Brandon McManus

P: Riley Dixon

LS: Casey Kreiter

IR/PUP:

QB Chad Kelly

WR Carlos Henderson

TE Jake Butt

DL Billy Winn

Practice Squad:

QB Kyle Sloter

RB Boom Williams

WR Hunter Sharp

TE Austin Traylor

OT Justin Murray

DE Shakir Soto

DE Nelson Adams

OLB Vontarius Dora

S Jamal Carter

S Dymonte Thomas

I don't love only keeping 8 offensive linemen but with the injuries on the DL as well as to Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett I think we'll see the 53 contain a bit of an imbalance towards front-7 type guys. The likes of Shelby Harris and Kasim Edebali will be on the 53 but may well be cut when everyone gets healthy.

He's heading to KC now. They gave up a '19 4th rd pick. I wouldn't have given up a 4th for him but looks like it's a win - win for both teams.

Well damn on Ragland.  Helps KC too which is a double whammy.

Re: our 53-man roster projections, keep in mind we can't PUP Lynch - he's either on the 53-man roster or he's on the IR as I undestand from @paul-mac clarified before this offseason.

If that's the case, we need to project 3-QB's - so adjust accordingly, keeping in mind Elway's coaching staff has always kept to the 25/25/3 breakdown on O vs. D vs. ST-only guys.

Let it go already. Jaye Howard is not Reggie White.

He isn't White but he was cheap and addressed exactly what we needed - run plugging DE.    A top 10 run-stopping DE, second in run-stop percentage among all DE's last year as per PFF.   And min wage to boot.

It was a major omission to not address run D on the interior DL.   It wasn't like Elway didn't try as he went after Calais Campbell and Chris Baker...but then that's why it made not going here so baffling.

Now on the other hand it's time to move on.   It just keeps popping up with every time our DL takes a hit.   But fair enough can't change the past.

This might sound crazy but does anyone feel tj ward could be traded or released? I mean Simmons I think is ready to start. An if Orion Stewart, and Carter keep balling out. Do we risk both being cleared for the practice squad?

Props again, hearing the Broncos are shopping TJ Ward, can you check that crystal ball for some lotto numbers ??

Seems Ragland just went to the Chiefs for a 4th.....right idea, wrong team (at least for us)

Haha I wish and to think I was scared to click the submit button. I thought I was gonna get banned for bringing that idea up.

My final prediction before tomorrow's cuts.

Quarterback (3)

Roster: Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, new signing

Practice Squad: Kyle Sloter

PUP: Chad Kelly

-Paxton Lynch's injury means that the Broncos will need to carry a third QB on the 53. Kyle Sloter might be that guy but I don't think Elway is willing to risk having him as the backup week 1, so I think he goes to the practice squad and we'll see Austin Davis or another veteran brought in.

Running Back (5)

Roster: CJ Anderson, Jamaal Charles, Devontae Booker, DeAngelo Henderson, Andy Janovich

Practice Squad: Stanley Williams

Cut: Stevan Ridley, Juwan Thompson

-This seems reasonably clear cut. There's an outside shot that Elway will try to sneak Henderson through waivers and get him to the practice squad, but I think he probably will be on the 53.

Wide Receivers (6)

Roster: Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Cody Latimer, Bennie Fowler, Jordan Taylor, Isaiah McKenzie

IR: Carlos Henderson

Practice Squad: Hunter Sharp, Kalif Raymond

Cut: Marlon Brown, Anthony Nash

-Henderson should start the season on IR, and might even finish it there if Taylor and Fowler capitalise on their impressive preseasons. Special teams is the saving grace for Latimer and McKenzie.

Tight Ends (2)

Roster: Virgil Green, AJ Derby

PUP: Jake Butt

Practice Squad: Austin Traylor

Cut: Jeff Heuerman, Steven Scheu

-Jeff Heuerman is my surprise cut. With the 3rd QB having to be kept, there has to be a fall guy somewhere. The thing about Heuerman is that he's not the best at anything really. Green is the blocking Tight End and Derby is the receiver with Butt as great hope for the future. What a disappointing  3rd round pick.

Offensive Line (9)

Roster: Garrett Bolles, Allen Barbre, Matt Paradis, Ronald Leary, Menelik Watson, Donald Stephenson, Connor McGovern, Max Garcia, Ty Sambrailo

Cut: Michael Schofield, Billy Turner, Justin Murray, Cedrick Lang, Cameron Hunt, Dillon Day, Elijah Wilkinson

-I think we pretty much know the 5 starters, Stephenson, Garcia and McGovern have all made the team. The question is whether we'll keep a ninth guy, and if we do, will it be Sambrailo, Turner or Schofield? I'll give the nod to Ty Sambrailo.

Defensive Line (7)

Roster: Derek Wolfe, Domata Peko, Jared Crick, Adam Gotsis, Zach Kerr, Shelby Harris, Tyrique Jarrett

IR: Kyle Peko

Practice Squad: Shakir Soto

Cut: Nelson Adams

-Jarrett and Harris were preseason darlings and have played their way on to the 53. Kyle Peko likely starts the season on IR, with the option of calling him up at some point.

Outside Linebackers (5)

Roster: Von Miller, Shane Ray, Shaquil Barrett, Demarcus Walker, Kasim Edebali

Practice Squad: Danny Mason, Vontarius Dora

Cut: Ken Ekanem, Deiontrez Mount

-Edebali has a big role to play early doors with Ray and Barrett in the tub. Demarcus Walker will be a unique rover splitting time between 5-tech and OLB.

Inside Linebacker (4)

Roster: Brandon Marshall, Todd Davis, Corey Nelson, Zaire Anderson

Cut: Jerrol Garcia-Williams, Quentin Gause, Deon Hollins, Kevin Snyder

-Nothing to see here really

Cornerback (5)

Roster: Chris Harris Jr, Aqib Talib, Bradley Roby, Brendan Langley, Lorenzo Doss

Cut: Chris Lewis-Harris, Marcos Rios

-The top 4 are clear cut, although that final spot could go either way between Lewis-Harris and Doss. I'll give the draft pick the nod.

Safety (4)

Roster: Darian Stewart, Justin Simmons, Will Parks, Jamal Carter

Practice Squad: Orion Stewart, Dymonte Thomas

Cut: TJ Ward, Dante Barnett

-I hate this move to get rid of Ward, but seems like it's a lock at this stage.

Specialists (3)

Roster: Brandon McManus, Riley Dixon, Casey Kreiter

-Nothing to see here

I think you have a pretty good handle on how things will go down but I disagree slightly here. I think Chris Lewis-Harris makes the team and Lorenzo Doss gets cut. Doss is a poor fit for the primarily press-man scheme we run, he's a better zone CB. He will land on his feet but I don't see him sticking around here.

Yeah they brought Lewis-Harris in bc VJ and him worked together. Think he has a good shot over Doss
