53 Man Roster Projection

I just posted in random thoughts lol.  2nd rounder?   The couldn't even get a 5th on draft day supposedly.  Wow good for them.

It wasn't just the pick  it was Jermaine Kearse too.  Not a star talent but probably for Jets he's now their best WR.  We couldn't have come close to matching anyways.

He has loads of talent but is one failed drug test away from a year long suspension.  And in his final year of his rookie deal.  You know he's not giving anyone a home town discount.  To pay a 2nd rounder and Kearse is a massive overpay.  Pass on our end.

On the other hand the Jets GM must be doing cartwheels.

I hope he makes on to the PS.

I'd be shocked if that isn't the plan. Probably our best DE prospect of the UDFA and FA we tried out besides Harris.    By a mile.

With Kerr and Peko out for a while (Kyle) gotta think Jarrett makes the roster.

FWIW re: Richardson this might also explain why it took so long for Jets to deal him.  Sounds like DAL SEA and we got into a bidding war.  Glad we didn't pay that price.

In recent seasons, Jets discussed a Sheldon Richardson trade with Dallas, Denver, others. Seattle gets it done today.

Sheldon Richardson had opportunities to be traded previously, but would not redo his contract. Now, he gets full $8M & play in #Seahawks D.

So the Browns release Osweiler - they paid 16M for a 2nd round pick - but the part ppl missed is that with the cap floor, they had to spend at least 12m of that 16M to make the floor if the calculations are correct - so they spent about 4M to get that pick.  Much better value, for a team still trying to leverage picks and value for the 2018 draft, before trying to seriously win.    As for us, don't think the Broncos current staff would see him as a fit in the new O scheme, before ppl wonder.

Just to play devil's advocate, though - even with a different scheme, Brock would have really good rapport with his favorite targets.

(Talib, Harris, Roby & Stewart).

Remember that time when people were upset we traded Bibbs. He was cut today. lol

RB is literally the most disposable and replaceable position.   Their careers are so short no reason not to cut bait when they start becoming expensive or you can get a better value in return.  This is a totally different era for RB than 10 years ago.
