I think it also has to be factored in that it's a new OC in a new system as well. Where as a good part of our defense are in year three of the system. Especially if he can keep our defense in the top 15.

How can we know if a trench player filled in well if there's no real physical activity Why don’t we have pads on yet? Without pads it’s just talk

We may just have to bench him for the last two games of the season. That way he loses trade value.
bucksavage1
Enough of the shorts and Shells Pads come on tomorrow. We will see where the offense is at It was expected the O would struggle vs the defense. Considering most are in their 3rd year of PG defense vs 1st year of Getsy Offense
big_palooka
This offense is going to be terrible. That was a given coming in. Minshew and AOC are not starting NFL QBs. The Raiders will want to run the ball and teams are going to stack the box on them each week forcing the QB to make a play. It is going to be a loooooooooong year on offense. This team is looking for the defense to keep it close and the offense to do just enough. Trying to win game keeping opposing teams under 20 points in the year 2024 is a recipe for disaster.

It’s gonna come down to whether the o-line can protect the QB and open holes in the run game The passing weapons are there for any QB who can read the field If they can, the offense will put up enough points to win 10+ games
bucksavage1
I’d be more concerned if the offense was lighting up the defense

This is the exact reason why my excitement is at an all time low heading into the year. Our QB room is bottom 3 in the league and you just can’t win consistently in this league with poor QB play.

They are not winning 10+ games with Minshew/AOC at QB. Unless the defense is the 2000 Ravens, I don't see how they win more than 8 games. Understandable the o-line is having issues. Still want to see it more in pass when the line can be physical We’re also missing our best lineman and top o-line draft pick Edited July 30 by bucksavage1
