LLcheesehead12
12 days 5 hours and it's on Only got cut down day in between now and then, and of course a big weekend of college football this coming weekend. But the NFL start is coming and coming fast. Jordan Love began turning heads when he had his coming out party back there in 2022 in Philly filling in for Rodgers, and while it was 2 years ago, it still has that feel of unfinished business. And obviously we know what happened with Joe Barry's defense out there in that one, but now we get to see if this new Hafley crew can knock Hurts off his game. Well, obviously not the first time I've been excited to start a Packer season, but something about this particular team definitely feels different and in a good way.
R T
Too early for this, we don't even know who the backup QB is yet.

packfanfb
Tough test for a team that has had some notorious slow starts to the season under LaFleur. Last year that wasn't the case against Chicago and we came out ready. Either way, we have the huge advantage of playing this game at a neutral site. Eagles are a very talented team looking to rebound from a destructive second half to the 2023 season. Two biggest keys: 1) can we hold the ground game of Hurts and Barkley in check; 2) can our OL keep a talented DL off Love. Big chance to grab a key NFC win that will likely matter later on in the season.

If things go a bit sideways for them early, I could see Sirianni losing the team. He did last year, and they kept him around. Don't think Hurts likes or respects him. Get on them early and see if their cart derails.
Mazrimiv
The Hurts/Sirianni thing will definitely be worth monitoring this season, but week 1 is probably too early to benefit from that dysfunction. Everyone is still in their happy place. Based on what I've read regarding PHI's meltdown last season, those two deserve each other.
Brat&Beer
Eagles favored by 2.5. Moneyline: Packers +120, Eagles -130 Over/under 48.

Of more pertinence is the fact that we don't know who the kicker will be.

Yeah just was thinking, if our backup QB has to take the field at all (outside of us running away with this one in the 4th), that would usually mean nothing good where Love is concerned. There might be some that aren't aware the game isn't in Philly and have bet it up to this line

Not sure Vegas is as bullish on Green Bay as Green Bay fans are. We are likely right though! 😀 I like the fact that Kellen Moore is the OC. He has an aversion to running the football.
