It feels good to see this but you are definitely playing with my emotions. Makes me think I’ll be watching football this weekend.

I think the CHI struggles out of the gate and loses to TEN and NYJ take out SF. This is mostly based on my blind hate for our rivals and my blind like for AR.

I'll take Baltimore, Jacksonville, Seattle, Cleveland and Tampa Bay other than what you have.

I really like Seattle's coach. Bo Nix in that atmosphere in Seattle will be a tough opening for the kid.

What's Tennessee got going for them? I've not seen or read much about them at all since last year - and - I wondered if the NYJs might getting SF early enough to take them....but I went with the safer pick.

Dallas certainly gets a lot of negative press / publicity....and while I've no clue what CLE has going for them other than they had a good D last year,
Dallas did make the playoffs last year (as we should all remember well.....) so I went with the better overall squad.

Tampa? I'll find out what they have going for themselves this year. Although I live here, I dont pay attention to their comings & goings.

I have no idea what TEN has. It’s more of the Bears still suck thing.

Also think Cleveland will be tough at home with a strong defense. Big Mike has a lot to prove with Dallas this year.

Week one is really just a roll of the dice. Most of the starters haven’t played more than a quarter of real football since January.

I'm not saying you are wrong about any of your picks. Just a different opinion. FYI, Cleveland made the playoff as well.

Thats fine and I'm not taking you to task for the different opinions - especially at this time of year when I have little clue what these teams are bringing to the table. My best hope this week is that they're 50/50 propositions.

Stay strong on this one Leader. Any given Sunday.

Pretty cool city for a fun weekend and no state income tax.

Agreed.

Flew to Nashville for an extended weekend last year and this year we are going for five days for the Packer v Titan game. Should be a good time.

I won’t be there for the game but might be visiting soonish. Anything or areas that stand out outside of the well beaten path? I’ll definitely go for some good food and check out some live music.

Well, it's football time indeed, and I am so ready for this:

So ... Starting tomorrow:

Chiefs W - Ravens L : the gambling man in me wants to go Baltimore, but I got the feeling it's going to be another rough outing for Lamar.  AFCCG just too fresh there.

Friday:

Packers W - Eagles L : Obviously, green and gold koolaid here but I feel like our guys are ready to prove themselves to be SB contenders

Sunday:

Falcons W - Steelers L : This could definitely go either way as ATL has been a master choker team before and you really can't seem to ever make them a lock to win.  But I feel like old Russ has looked too busted up lately and been on a decline while Cousins still has game left in him.

Bills W - Cardinals L : Cards should be better with Murray back and the new Harrison Jr target to throw to, but won't be enough to take on Buffalo on the road

Bears W - Titans L : Wish the Titans could upset Calebb Williams in his debut, but not going to happen as they are the third worst team in football behind only the Panthers and Patriots.

Bengals W - Patriots L : no brainer here

Texans W - Colts L : Toss up here if Anthony Richardson is on his game and doesn't get hurt this time.  Got a feeling it'll be close, but going to have to take Stroud and his crew on this one.

Jags W - Dolphins L : gonna be a bit of a gambler here and take Jax.  Maybe I'm just feeling like the Dolphins are reeling a bit from the playoffs, but hey it's week 1 too and Trevor Lawrence is back.

Saints W - Panthers L : Another no brainer

Giants W - Vikings L : Yeah ok I'm clearly biased against the purple trolls, but why not?  I don't buy Sam Darnold or JJ McCarthy at all.  Granted Daniel Jones isn't winning the fans over either, but I don't know.  Something tells me the G-Men wreak the greater havoc in this one.

Chargers W - Raiders L : Raiders way overhyped and about to get run over by the new Jim Harbaugh led bolts who will give KC a run for their money

Seahawks W - Broncos L : Going to be a close one as the Seahawks aren't the squad of old, but they're still the better team in this one

Browns W - Cowboys L : Yup I'm going to take Deshaun Watson and his crew over Dak Prescott.  Could be a tough one and Cleveland is still looking for their back to back winning season since being the expansion team, but I feel like this year they will finally have it.

Buccaneers W - Commanders L : yeah I'd love for the Commanders to romp these guys, and I am going to predict that the Bucs have a losing season and don't even make the playoffs.  But I just don't think this young Washington squad is going to be hitting their strides yet, and at least in September the old Bucs will still be around before they collapse.

Lions W - Rams L : Almost want to give this to the Rams and feel like Stafford will end up beating his old team at least one more time before heading off into the sunset.  But I think it'll be a pretty similar outcome in this one to how the playoff game went.

Jets W - 49ers L : Yup Aaron Rodgers has been salivating for this game and will be eager to send that yucky red and gold team back to the bay with their tails in between their legs.  Also, Robert Saleh knows Kyle Shanahan's playbook like the back of his hand, and he's going to throw the kitchen sink at Brock Purdy.
