Welcome back gents! The 2024 NFL season is upon us! We are now days away from opening kickoff in our house. With that said, there is a lot riding on this season for a select few men on this team. The #1 man is Daniel Jones.. This is it for him.. make or break. Simple as that. In order for him to salvage his career, he honestly has to get this team to the playoffs and win. He doesn't? Bye cya. That's the kind of pressure he's under. The other guys who are under extreme pressure to get things done are Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen. Don't lie to yourself guys, Dabes and JS are honestly on the hot seat. A 5-6 win season will see them exiting the building regardless if ppl say all they need is a quarterback. I don't think John Mara is willing to go 1 more year of mediocre football. The man hates losing more than anyone. That being said...

Vikings come into our house with Sam Darnold at the helm. We all know Darnold well, he starts off playing like he got shot out of a cannon and then tails off as the season progresses. So we better be up to par until he falls off a cliff.  Having Justin Jefferson on his side gives us a major headache to deal with. I feel Deonte Banks can line up with him and cover him well but 1 guy I worry about in this match up is TJ Hockensen. We just seem to never wanna cover TE's. Seeing after preseason that the secondary is still questionable, its gonna take our defensive front to wreak havoc to make up for our short comings in the secondary. I expect big things from KT and Spiderman this season. And Dex? Dex just has to be Dex and he'll get his first All-Pro nod this season.

Flip the page.. I just don't know what to expect from DJ. That Texan preseason game was one to forget. The 2 picks right off the bat was just inexuseable. And while ppl will say he hasnt played in 9 monthes.. guess what? Doesn't matter. He is THAT kind of under the gun now to produce. He did seem to get his bearings playing into the 2nd qtr but once again you just seem to feel uncertain with him. The one that i look forward to in this game is Malik Nabers and honestly seeing Dan Bellinger and Theo Johnson. Nabers could be the lightning rod that could help Jones get over the hump. And lastly.. all eyes on this "revamped" oline. Im still not happy about not drafting any oline prospects in this past draft and im pretty sure after preseason ended alot of other Giant fans are not either. On paper, this is probably the best line that Jones has to work with. We'll see what happens

I just cant see us winning this one. For me, i feel we have alot more questions than answers on the offensive side of the ball. And it all falls on Jones shoulders.

Hockensen is on the PUP and won’t play. Addison is nursing an ankle injury, but right now I'm expecting him to play.

Banks can’t cover Jefferson, it will be a lot of double teams and hoping Darnold can’t hit him.

Ah my bad, didnt see that he was injured. It will change the dynamic a bit in this one but i still feel we come up short.

pretty much every teams' defensive strategy, and yet he still sets all time records.

here's to a good game!

Got a good feeling about this one. Vikes are pretty banged up. Not having Hock is a big loss for that offense. At the moment the Gmen seem pretty healthy. Hopefully JMS and Runyan are full goes by Sunday. JJ is going to get his catches but we just seem to have a knack for beating the Vikes.

If Addison is out as well, I'm really not scared about that offense at all. Obviously Jefferson is always going to get his, but Darnold folds under pressure and he'd have no other outlet. Gotta trust in Bowen to have a stout rushing defense as well.

i like the positivity from you guys on this game. im just still of the mindset that DJ is gonna cost us in this one. im just on the fence with him after his showing in the preseason and somehow we come up short in this one. i hope im wrong

If he stays healthy... I think statistically DJ will have his best year (not really saying much). I feel like the offense is going to be more pass heavy with way more attempts downfield. We have three scat backs who can all catch. No more SB dancing in the backfield. Nabers is going to get a ton of targets. Slayton and Hyatt can take the top off. Robinson in the slot. Theo running up the seam. And now we have Dabs calling plays. This revamped Oline looked pretty stout in the preseason. If they can give DJ that extra millisecond to find someone he can do some damage. Unfortunately that is type of QB he is. Has all the tools athletically but the mental processing is just a twinge below par. He needs a stout oline and WR's that can get separation nearly instantly to succeed. I think he'll have it this year. And if he can't put up respectable stats... he truly is gone next season.

Yes that pick 6 in the preseason was absolutely ridiculous. And he has made that same throw in the regular season. He absolutely cannot make mistakes like that.

My 3 current early fav QB picks:
Jaxson Dart
Jalen Milroe
Carson Beck
