Big T
Let's start with the obvious, the unparalleled enthusiasm of the Jets fanbase. Every year there is so much optimism that it gets in the way of what the team actually is, but it is more for what the team can be. So here we have the 2024 version of the N.Y. Jets, with a revamped OL which on paper is light years better than last years offering. Howbeit we still have the ineffectual backups who stepped in and played so poorly it was embarrassing. Lets hope that the Jets continue to draft OL that can start as we do not have a minor league system in place to develop players. The Jets are deep at needed positions like the D line, Cb's, RB's, and there are some players who could break out this year. But if we're honest we know that the OL which is stated to start has some issues which could follow them into the entire season, two of which are on one year contracts I believe and another who has a history of penalties, a Center who could throw the game away with his wild throws. We do have a promising young OL in the fold, and our WR room and TE room has potential but who knows what an injury or two could do to that room. Wilson is a legitimate up and coming star and we have Williams who is a question mark as well, then a cast of hopefuls. The draft class could be one of the better ones from the 4 round down and may turn out to be better than the YACK the Jets think they have. 4 RB Braelon Allen, (134)Wisconsin. 5 (171): QB Jordan Travis, Florida State. 5 (173): RB Isaiah Davis, South Dakota State. 5 (176): CB Qwan'tez Stiggers, CFL., Inspire hope for the Jets, So here is the crux of it, the Jets potential is through the roof, especially if Rodgers can be kept upright, the D will keep them in every game and perhaps will win a game or two for them. So if the Jets can make the playoffs it would have to be seen as a step in the right direction, anything more obviously would be wonderful. A Super Bowl appearance and win euphoria for the next 50 years. But realistically a playoff birth and perhaps more, I think this is the real reality, and not all the hype and bluster we hear year in and year out. Lets Go Jets
jetfuel34
I think the Jets will make the playoffs. I'm hoping for a good run like AFCC game.
NYJets4716
I think we are all nervous because of the past. Injuries seem to always plague the Jets. I am just hoping for once we can stay relatively healthy like other teams. If the Jets OL can stay mostly healthy, they will be one of the better units in football. The Jets offense has weapons. Breece Hall could be in for a huge season, between breaking off big runs and being a playmaker in the passing game. We need Aaron Rodgers to stay healthy and put together a good season. If Rodgers is what he has been, a QB throwing 28+ TD and under 10 INTs. The Jets are going to win a lot of games. Its really annoying that Reddick is holding out and possibly won't play this season. The DL is still good but he was a good replacement for Huff. Now we need Will McDonald to step up. This roster is really talented and they seem focus. Hopefully they end the longest playoff drought in sports.
Jag68Sid87
I have low expectations. We are the Jets. I want to beat New England twice this year. Everything else is gravy. I am half-kidding.

This is the first time in a long time where I see our OL being a strength. It sucks for Joe Douglas, he made some mistakes but honestly if you look at the roster that he took over vs the roster we have now. Its a great job. Just hasn't had the wins and the injuries always kill us. I just hope they stay relatively healthy for once. Because this can be a very balanced team with a good offense and defense. The losing can all be traced to one really failed pick which happens to be the most important position on the field.
rickyt31
It's all up to Aaron Rodgers. He can be the reason we make it far and he can be the final straw for Saleh. If Rodgers looks like he can play another 2 years and we make the 2nd round of the playoffs, I'll be happy. If not, this has be at least a close AFC champ game. JD made mistakes but he made up for that. If we can't win, it's all on Saleh. The roster is talented.
doumeyer
That is a dam great question, the defense should be ok. The question is Rodgers, he is forty years old now, but he has been forty for the last two and a half years and the question is his reflexes still sharp, that is the first thing to go. If the Jets can stay away from injuries on the O line, they could be a very dangerous team.
