Mid Iowa
Here we are, game day, week 1 of the 2024 season. I hope this post doesn't get buried. The Saints have so many question marks to answer this season. Part of me thinks we'll be lucky to rattle off 6 wins, other parts of me think we could be a surprise team, and flip the script. O-line? WR #3 and on? QB? LB #3 and on? Offensive Coordinator? Head Coach? And a potentially disgruntled RB1. So, with that said, as to not clutter up the once vibrant Saints message boards, I'll leave you with: WHO DAT!!!
jcvoodoo
Will be interesting for sure. If the Saints lose this one, DA's head automatically goes on the chopping block...just waiting for the ax.
Jlowe22
I think DA's head is safe for now.
JMG5
Unexpected. The offensive line looked really good, but I don't know how much of that is us and how much of that is Carolina.
jcvoodoo
Guess we'll see this Sunday.
Raves
I'm staying cautiously optimistic on this team still. The defense played like we've expected them to play the past few years but the real bright spot was the offense. It was actually something that couldn't be predicted by any 10 y/o that plays Madden. I thought before the year we should win the division and have around a 10-7 to 12-5 season, this helps me feel like that will happen, but let's see how it goes next week. Also Alontae Taylor with 3 sacks and a big time pass breakup... dude was balling out.
tyler735
As mentioned this offseason, Kubiak was the biggest signing for this team. What a difference he made in his 1st game. Utilizing play action, using motion, calling plays that properly utilize your playmakers skillsets. Was such a refreshing change even if it was against the worst team in the NFL.
Mid Iowa
Can you guys imagine what the Saints could have been if Sean Payton would have dropped his ego, and hired a "real" offensive coordinator, rather than Carmichael? This literally has me thinking Drew Brees was even better than what we've always known. I'm really looking forward to seeing the playbook expand, and keep teams on their heels. 9 drives, 9 scores. When was the last time that happened?
