MWil23
Good afternoon fellow Browns fans! For the third consecutive season, our beloved Brownies are off and running atop the vaunted AFC North at 1-0 after a brilliant 4 TD performance from their quarterback. *Staffer sprints in and whispers in ear* My Apologies, ladies and gentlemen, I was looking at Tampa Bay’s line from yesterday. Anyhow, after the abuse situation in Cleveland yesterday, and Michael Hall didn’t even make the active roster, your 0-1 Browns, with only 50 games remaining on Deshaun Watson’s guaranteed contract remaining, plus $30 million in at least one void year, travel to take on the 0-1 Jaguars, fresh off a choke job loss of their own, but in their defense, they did play Tyreek Hill yesterday. Statistically speaking, thirty plus years of data shows that the loser of this game will not make the playoffs: https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/minnesota/news/how-often-does-a-0-2-team-make-it-to-nfl-playoffs/ Key matchups: Deshaun Watson vs replacement level play: Trevor Lawrence vs being average. Dude is the most hyped average performer ever, getting shut out in the second half this past week. The Browns OL vs sucking less. The Browns RB vs sucking less. Ken Dorsey vs remembering he won a national championship on the greatest college team of all time and sucking less as a play caller. Kevin Stefanski vs growing some balls and putting Famous Jameis in. Jerry Jeudy vs being a JAG against the JAGS. Jimmy Haslem vs please for the love of goodness FBI find something that sends him and Dee both to prison. Tune in. I think the game is at 1:00 on CBS. Usually I don’t set Sundays aside for chores until at least October but this year is trending towards an exception. roger murdock
Our next 4 weeks are extremely soft. After that, it gets tough. 3-2 is a minimum to make the playoffs IMO. 2-3 or 1-4 and I think we are looking at a 5-7 win season max. Jaguars are below average. Giants are a 4 win team. Raiders stink. Commies stink. A good team goes 4-0 in the next 4 weeks.

Obviously wild stuff can happen later, etc., but we’ve got a really great opportunity to be 4-1 and really in control of things as November approaches. Or we sht the bed a few more times and things are gonna get weird in Cleveland.
JDD
The Browns will get back on track and get a W this week. Week 1 has brought us many years of Brady is done, no one can beat the Eagles, it’s always over reaction week. Jags can win the game obviously but the Browns need to play aggressive and attack the QB. Watson needs to just make easy throws. Don’t be a hero

sdrawkcab321
Just rooting for a Watson injury at this point so we can get a real qb in there. Otherwise we’re toast again.

I’m not ever going to root for an injury, but I will root for this new charge to stick, put him on the commissioner exempt list, have Jameis take over for the rest of the season, and for justice to be done in this situation. If he committed that heinous act as depicted in the allegation, he deserves a long stint in prison on a human level, and on a football level, hopefully it voids the contract and the Browns can move on and cut bait in 2025, at least salvaging whatever small chance they have of a window with what should be a relatively talented roster.

I’m not rooting for him to be crippled or whatever, but an ACL or “sore shoulder” is just fine by me. Im just sick of everything that surround him, both on the field and off. I’d rather watch Jameis or DTR.

At least there’s a shred of a chance that Watson still has talent left in him. DTR doesn’t have anything. PJ Walker out played him..

There’s a better chance he improves year 1 to year 2 than there is Watson becomes the 2020 version of himself for the better part of a season. There was nothing Watson did on Sunday that DTR couldn’t tbh. Doesn’t really matter to me though, I’d rather watch a ****ty QB who isn’t a rapist as opposed to a slightly less ****ty QB who is.
