JDLefebvre
Michael Keaton was on ESPN early this morning and guess being a Pittsburgh kid they asked him who Pittsburgh Sports would be on his Mt. Rushmore. His choices were Roberto Clemente, Mario Lemieux, Mean Joe and Franco Harris. Respectable list. Thought we could kill some time til we have something to talk about... Who would be on your Pittsburgh Mount Rushmore as a Player... and as a Contributer (coach, owner, TV/Radio, etc)
JDLefebvre
For me.... Contributor (most lists will probably be the same ): Mario Lemieux (who would think he'd mean more as an owner as a player), Myron Cope, Chuck Noll, Dan Rooney (feel Dan's influence and impact slightly outweighs the Chief) Players: Mean Joe Greene, Sydney Crosby, Willie Stargell, Ben Roethlisberger. Feel those 4 guys had the bigger impact on the Championships won during their eras.
skywlker32
I feel like Mario and Clemente have to be included no matter how you look at it. Mean Joe and maybe Arnold Palmer maybe if you are leaning toward athletes. Dan Rooney and Cope would probably be it as contributors. This discussion also kind of changes if you include sports figures that were born or grew up in Pittsburgh.
