Ricky tweeted about it then deleted it, he said:

Adams should be a Jet. Trade comp is still being finalized but they’re close. The Steelers max offer was a 4th round pick. The Bills and Saint are still in the mix but will only trade for Adams if the Raiders pay his remaining salary.

3 things screwed the Mack deal.  We made the trade after the draft, we gave back a 2nd, and we did not draft well.  I do not always agree with @Frankie2Gunz but when he says the teams drafting has been a dumpster fire I whole heartedly agree.

1000%. Miller is the only 1st rounder still on the team. And the only 1st rounder who made it to the end of his rookie deal and was resigned was Abram.

We've been shanking 1st round picks at an alarming rate for decades...

Jets have way more of a chance of winning the Super Bowl than the Saints.

If Super Bowl is his main priority, he should be looking at the Jets, Cowboys, Lions, Packers, and Ravens.

If he genuinely wanted a chance to win a Super Bowl he would be trying to land in Buffalo or Baltimore.

Wasn't a fan anyway, but AP can kick rocks. The optics were bad enough before this, now he wants to dodge questions about his liking that sm post. The least you can do is own up to it or give an answer besides "I'm on to Denver".

Bottom line, the CEO/defensive minded HC doesn't typically survive a failed OC hire and that is where we are at. Got it wrong with Getsy and it took all of 3 weeks for it to start unraveling. Best offensive player wants out and things are going to get ugly. We've seen this movie so many times now.

Hopefully this all ends with a decent draft pick and new offensive minded head coach who can help develop a young QB.

The Raiders don't need a cheerleader HC. They need an X's and O's guy and preferably one with some clout coming in from a culture perspective.

Or maybe wait for it…. AP is happy for Adams maybe it’s a mutual thing. Adams was ready to leave last year way before Ap became coach. Being real it’s hard to watch your homies suffer. He did what coaches do and have done for years keeping it in house. If anyone dropped the ball it was Telesco mr known for getting the qb and he settled with aoc, gard and Gus Bradley kid. Y’all want a bloodbath and we 2-2 going into bronco week. We have a game to play. This other stuff will work itself out.

A 3rd and Reddick would be so awesome… have always loved Reddick

30 year old and will demand a huge contract. I'd prefer flipping him if he was part of it.

I think Koonce will be great.

There is no way on earth AP is happy Adams is requesting a trade or happy for Adams to do it. Would want to fire him right now if that’s the case.

Wilson for Adams, come on!!! Please Jets!!!

I’m still a believer in Wilson. He said today in an interview that Hackett has him running a garbage route tree this year. He didn’t include the word garbage but it was heavily implied lol. He’s very frustrated in New York.

I thought Garrett Wilson for Adams straight up makes sense.

If not, give us a 2nd and one of their top two running backs. I’m sure Hall can run a zone

Jets are trying to win a Bowl. Now or never. Including a player wouldn’t make sense.

They'd get more for trading Breece or Wilson individually than we're going to get for Adams.

What else do the Jets need? Maybe we package a vet like Hobbs (if we are far on contract talks) to get a bigger haul.

It's a long shot but who knows.

Figuring out how to make it work with Adams contract is already complicated for both sides. I don't think you'd want to include another player and make it even more difficult. I also wouldn't start fire selling the roster just because Adams requested a trade.

Based on what Rickey said it sounds like the Saints/Bills have made the best offers but are only willing to make a deal if we're going to pay Adams salary ROS. The Jets are willing to take on his salary but they're offering less.

Allen and Adams would be so fun. Adams did call the Bills horrendous fans though lmao.

What are his priorities though? Does he want to make a push for the HOF and compete for a Super Bowl? Or does he want to play with one of his QB buddies again for teams that probably don't have a realistic chance to compete?

Huh? Jets have one of the most stacked rosters in the league. Bills have a really bad defense on paper. I was pretty confident they’d be a bottom 10 defense.

The Jets have a decent chance, definitely better than the Saints, but it's kind of a dumpster fire over there too. Their offense isn't clicking, Rodgers is already beefing with Saleh, and Breece/Wilson are frustrated with Hackett. I think Rodgers still has some juice left in the tank but he's not the MVP level guy that can just completely elevate the offense.

The Bills are contenders with or without Adams and adding him could genuinely be the piece that puts them over the top.

Okay - first I thought, the whole "liking a social media post" thing was just accidently, but seeing the clips of the presser with AP it's pretty obvious that he did that on purpose.
It seems to me that AP's very disappointed and almost passive aggressive regarding the Adams situation.

however, still not good handling that situation like this.
