I'm feeling pretty petty too overall. All thing equal I want him on Buffalo and for him to catch the game winning TD in the AFC Championship game. Adams in Buffalo would be hella fun (And great for my fantasy team).

Come on man.... I know you're going to back AP to the end, but even you can't be this naive. AP/Adams had friction in preseason when AP wanted everyone to play and Adams spoke out publicly how he doesn't want to, then sat with an injury. Yeah there's no reason to back AP on this one. Even as someone who wanted Adams traded a while ago, the handling of this has been amateur. It's just one misstep by AP, but it is indeed a misstep. There's no need to pretend it's not. Even a lot of folks who thought AP deserved a shot had to figure in the inevitable bumps in the road. How a locker room guy handles someone who wants out is one of those bumps. Come hell or high water, I think Adams leaving was inevitable as well. AP isn't doing irreparable damage and alienating Adams in thst regard, per se, but that doesn't mean his handling of the situation was fantastic. McVay didn't handle the Goff situation particularly well either, and his reputation took a very minor hit in some circles, only to rebound just fine shortly thereafter. BackinBlack
I can see KC calling, and the Raiders saying we arent trading him to our biggest rivals... and KC just countering with, are we even rivals lol. If we were a legit team no way I send him to KC, but we are a best a WC team and we need to do what is best for us, that is getting max value for DA
Jerry
Typically, when HCs come in, they try to shape the roster in their image. I think it's going to take some time for AP to do that. He thought D. Adams was a part of that image but realized that wasn't the case when he didn't want to play in the preseason and dropped balls against Carolina. D. Adams is a professional when it comes to image and saying the right things. But as others have said he clearly doesn't want to be here, and no one should blame him. We are a dumpster fire until proven otherwise. AP will need to take a look at our roster and see who fits his image and who needs to go elsewhere. He is a hardnosed no nonsense old-school LB mentality type of HC. We need players that don't just stomp the table for him. We need players that are willing to go to war for him. And if he doesn't work out hopefully we find the right guy next time. Because you know, the 10th time is the charm (or whatever number HC we are on in the past 10 years). Guys won't fit, even if they're good players. It ain't Madden and just a slightly tangential "scheme fit" based on algorithms.

Man, normally I'd agree completely. I just couldn't stomach being part of the reason they 3-peat and go into record books
NCOUGHMAN
2 hours ago, big_palooka said: Y'all forget Adams wanted to be the highest paid WR in football Y'all forget Adams said a potato could be QB he'd still put up numbers Y'all forget Adams vouched for AP as coach Y'all forget Adams signed off on Getsy as the OC You're not wrong, but Adams wanted to be a Raider. It's on him wanting to team up with Carr and getting into this fray. That’s the only thing I’ll have beef about is if adams pounded the table for getsy

Y’all forget how horrible Adams life was with jimmy g. We couldn’t provide a qb that could get him the ball. Y’all want Ap to turn water to wine. Adams just collateral damage from jmdz. He’s basically like a sports car in a house fulla people who can’t drive manual. Sure it’s cool to go in the garage and look at it. We had 3 yrs to get it right time is up. This has nothing to do with what I said. I haven't forgotten anything but I can tell when I see someone making amateur mistakes. It's not a good look. This whole thing has for the one billionth time made the Raiders an absolute laughing stock, and AP is right in the middle of it. Hardly anyone blames Adams for wanting out, but AP has looked like he is having trouble managing the team in the process.

Miss me with that. He was banging the table for AP. Then had input on Getsy. Maybe he should have banged it for someone who knows offense? Every qb he liked we got rid of from carr to stiddy it’s like a weird nfl version of that pawn shop show. With jmdz saying best I can do is jimmy g and telesco saying best I could do is gard

Dessie
20 hours ago, Darbsk said: Well………. We did beat the Chiefs last year without completing a pass after the first quarter…….. not an ideal plan going forward though. I think if we can play great defence and run the ball at least decently then efficient passing might just be enough in a lot of cases. I don’t think we need to throw for 300 yards but if we can convert 3rd downs, keep ahead of the chains I don’t think it’s unviable. We just need an efficient game manager type QB, not really what you think of when you think Gardner Minshew to be fair 😁 DA played that game against the Chiefs meaning they had to still account for him. Him not playing means the opposition defense doesn’t have to account for him, imo we don’t have enough depth or quality yet to cover the loss. Our run game is also helped by DA being on the field, as he’s usually doubled. Everything becomes a lot more difficult without DA. If DA wants to leave and only for specific teams then it’s gonna have to be a good haul (2nd at least +) to make it worthwhile for me.
