If you notice each year since 2018, there's always some catastrophic event that happens during the season.

The first since Carr has been here was him breaking his ankle.  Then 2017 the taking a knee game in week 3. Then Gruden and Mack....  You know the rest.  Why was it so hard for Carr and JDR to stand with the rest of the players as they protested?  Every other team in the league did something unified.  Even Snyder stood with interlocked arms on the sidelines with the players.

I know it won't happen, but wouldn't you think the Jets get desperate here? The are going nowhere right now. Rodgers is 40 and the GM/Coach need to save their jobs.

A 2nd feels so meh to me for player of Adams caliber. He instantly sparks the Jets, make them a surefire playoff contender. That's a low 2nd at best.

I think you could create a bidding war this week if things go our way. The Jets, Saints, and Bills all struggled offensively last week and now they're underdogs on the road. Lets just assume they all lose this week, the Jets and Bills play next Monday night and the Saints play the Bucs. Probably not as much for the Bills but the Saints and Jets are going to be charting dangerous waters if they potentially start 2-4.

Something else that has crossed my mind.

Adams clearly wants to be traded to either the Saints or the Jets. But when you take a step back and look at both teams, he's honestly putting himself in position to end up in the exact same spot that he is currently in. Both teams will likely be 2-3 after this week with head coaches on the hot seat. Lets say he gets traded to either destination, if they have a disappointing finish to this season it's almost guaranteed that they'll fire their head coach. And beyond that there's no guarantee that Rodgers is back in New York next year or that the Saints decide to stick with Derek Carr.

The butterfly effect on all this is crazy.

Gruden's emails get leaked and he resigns. In comes Bisaccia who is told, thanks but no thanks and replaced by Josh McDaniel who then trades for Adams. Everything goes to hell, they cut Derek Carr later McDaniels is fired and in comes Pierce. Davis can't have a repeat of the last interim coach so tries to right a wrong. Pierce creates a mess on social media and Devante will now be traded.

What's next?

The one constant through all of that is Mark Davis.

Crosby and Spillane taking shots at Adams, as he disliked in the locker room?

Hondo and others online are alluding to that there’s been run ins between Adams and the other captains on the team

I thought that this was fairly apparent , no?

While AP has behaved like a petulant school girl, It’s pretty clear that there is a reason for the ill feeling to have grown:

- Adam’s repeatedly says that he doesn’t want to be here on the Netflix show

- He flirts with leaving, constant rumours about being traded

- Takes 10 days off after birth of child

- refuses to play in preseason when AP says he wants all starters to play a part (dumb - but he was obviously committed to this)

- picks up a sudden injury preventing him playing in preseason

- He is one of the business decision guys

- Clear the air talks with players (who knows what was said)

- Asks for trade after that last sequence and then picks up another injury.

I understand why Adam’s wants to leave. I would too. Buts let’s not pretend that he hasn’t at least acted in a way that is counter to the team first culture that AP and senior players like Maxx are trying to establish…

Got quotes? From what I heard players understand it’s a business and are moving on and not even saying anything about it

you killed Tae spirit with the treatment of DC. Tae tried to be cool but he took note. Then you replace DC with Jimmy G and Minshew. FOOK that. Thats why he doesn't want to be here. It's simple. The bad blood started when DC was benched

Adams is a low key diva who gets the "consummate professional" label. Likely because he played with a HOF QB his entire career. Something always struck me as odd with him that I couldn't put a finger on. He's one of those says a lot with saying much people.

He was chippy when Carr was here and struggling.

And if that's why he doesn't want to be here, then why has he been saying for the last 18 months he does? Not to mention that group is gone now.

Yeah I thought about this. It seems like it's just kind of him trying to pat his stats that's what he seems to care about most. Which hey, I respect it but that's not guaranteed to happen beyond the season.
