When you look at stats and record the past couple years Minshew and Carr are very similar. They are just such different players imo, it’s tough to compare them. Minshew to me is limited as a qb, but is able to find a way to get it done a few times a year, and typically doesn’t screw you out of a game. carr has everything you want in a qb but refuses to put it all together. Will have 3 or 4 elite games, 2 or 3 wtf games and then average, showing signs of both elite and poor decisions the other weeks. a team will buy into Minshew easier because it’s a guy doing his best, scrappy and finding a way. Carr is annoying cause he flashes the potential a few games but that’s it. So him being average is way more annoying. in no means have I ever been a Carr doesn’t have his flaws, I just defend him cause some of the takes on him are so over the top. saying him and mark are the only constant the last 10 years, so one had to go to me is so lazy. Bottom in penalties, bottom D, poor rosters poor coaching, offseason drama, etc etc, there’s a lot of consistency in his career here. or some will say he just never raised his players around him- meanwhile, Seth Robert’s , crabtree, renfrow, waller, Rod Martin, Agolar, all had big years with him while doing almost nothing without. - saying we had no choice to cut him cause of the no trade clause, I also disagree with. Draft a qb, let them battle it out and if Carr loses out sit on the bench or waive the clause. lots to criticize the guy for, no need to make up things that just aren’t true. my biggest pet peeve, throwing the deep ball 5 yards OB lol

You get these games where he puts the team on his back and then you have a game where the team plays great and Carr becomes a 3 and out machine. I feel bad for the guy because he played great and played the right way his first 3 years in the league. The injuries scared him and I still do not think he has recovered.
justwinbaby81
Two 3-and-outs for the Jets, this offense sucks. Wilson dropped pass. Make em pay Telesco...
justwinbaby81
Ian Rappaport: "Adams, sources say, views the New York Jets and his old friend Aaron Rodgers, as his top choice for a landing spot. That's where he wants to play. But it's been the New Orleans Saints who have been the most aggressive, while other teams, including the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers, have closely monitored the situation and stayed in touch. The Jets remain very much in the mix, as well."
RaidersAreOne
So Arod just got hurt. Hopefully nothing serious or else I doubt Adams is a Jet anymore.

NickButera
Paying whatever cap costs it takes this year to get a first would be worth it, if that's even possible. Hopefully we get a second+ more. Sounds like there is competition which is good

Short term pain for long term gain!

It was hard to tell with how things played out with the Jets (and lesser extent Steelers and others) if that helped or hurt us with the trade. Rot with your crappy WR group. If KC offered their 2025 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, I'm all over that. Tommy T would be a fool to turn that down, have Adams and enjoy your 3-peat. Otherwise, pound sand. Short term pain for long term gain! If I've learned anything recently, it's that an extra first round pick does't matter when trading up. No matter how much you like a QB prospect, you will get jumped by a team with a lower draft pick and worse draft position than you. You can't counter, you just have to accept it.
