Raves
Damn that was a game where we just shot ourselves in the foot every way possible. Add on additional injuries to the team, it's going to be a rough few weeks. That being said, it was also a great game and there is a lot of positives that the team can take away from it and look to build upon for the future. A few examples are Chase Young playing great, Bresee is putting in good work as well, our OL didn't play great but they were still solid which is definitely better than what we hoped going into the season and with McCoy going down last week. So sucks for a loss but I'm still happy with the team.
tyler735
Sucks to lose to the Falcons, but all things considered, I am mostly encouraged about the direction the team is heading in. Kamara is still looking like a top tier RB. Olave and Shaheed are showing they are a dynamic duo at WR. We played well enough without McCoy (and Ruiz) to be competitive on offense. The Falcons offense was barely a factor in the game even though we didn't have arguably our most important defensive player. It took a fluky muffed punt for a touchdown, a record breaking FG (for Atlanta at their stadium), and a pick 6 for them to come out on top in this game. Playing on the road without several key players and losing in that fashion honestly isn't all that terrible in terms of outlook going forward imo. This team continues to be far more competitive than most thought we would be heading into the season and looks like the Saints are on the cusp of actually being good.
Mid Iowa
I totally agree with you guys. There no such thing as a good loss, but if you have to lose, knowing that some cleanup and focus can change this outcome, there were still plenty of positive aspects to take away from this. I wish we could figure out what it is that keeps our defense from shutting down teams in 2 minute situations. Back-to-back games is one thing, but it has happened quite a bit in big games for years now. I can't put my finger on it, so somebody smarter than me needs to chime in. I suspect that if you're build to stop the run and take away the 7-18 yard plays, you become exposed on the 19+ yard plays? Different type of athlete? Anyway, Kubiak needs to improve upon some things for this Offense, but 4 games in, he's shown some sparks that could light a fire for a mid-late season run. I'm hoping for some crazy good juju this week in football. My Hawkeyes going into Ohio State (yikes), and my Saints going into Arrowhead. I'm hoping for at least a 1-1 outcome, but 2-0 would be phenomenal!!
Raves
@Mid Iowa they lack the clutch factor. Also sorry but you are going to end up 1-1 as my Buckeyes are going to destroy your Hawkeyes.

It would be amazing to actually see this team build a passing game, but after watching all these years, my hopes are minimal at best. Go Saints!!
