Offensive Line came together once JPJ and Glaze was inserted . JPJ is already our best guard

IPM looks like the future starter in the secondary

Mattison tremendous game

Impossible. The ball-knowers say he’s the worst in the league.

It's the Browns, so it's relative, that said...

There were a LOT of guys down, coming off a bad beat. Saw some character.

Two guys holding a bag with Watson in it to close the game were, a practice squader & a guy off the street. Every spot counts!!

As @bucksavage1 said, OL looks to be stabilizing and gelling. Everything improves off of that.

Good:
- Team played hard after the "business decision" talk
- Winning down our 2 best players
- Offensive line is so much better with JPG and Glaze. Rookies stepping up
- Mattison ran well
- Tyree flashed a little. Against scrubs, yes, but progress
- Special teams

Bad:
- Minshew backed himself into pressure multiple times. Over him
- CLE is a bad team down great players and we nearly gave it away

Ugly:
- Zeus' fumble. Gotta go back to FA/draft for another potential starter
- Time-out management
- Stadium 50-60% full of CLE fans

It was not a great game to watch so it didnt have my full attention but from what i saw, IPM made a few nice plays. Its good to see him get his shot.

JPJ finally healthy and we had our most productive day running the ball so far.

Tre Tucker is very exciting, i wish Minshew was capable of getting him the ball more downfield.

wilkins had his most impactful day as a Raider.

aj cole is hillarious

The OL looked far better with the lineup this week.

I liked the more balanced offensive approach without Adams. The big 3 today- Tucker, Bowers, and Meyers- would've looked just fine with better QB play.

Penalties were up and coaching still makes errors that have got to he cleaned up.

Mattison is undoubtedly better than White. White needs to be a change of pace/spark back. Mattison just plays more consistent.

LBs have got to tackle better, especially in space. 1 on 1 tackling was pretty ugly across the defense.

DL generated little consistent pressure, but we were playing reserves. Wilson is still useless and is being outplayed by guys we didn't have on the initial 53.

CB play was alright at points. Bennett held up fairly nicely. They lost some guys though, leaving them wide open downfield. Pola Mao looked more impactful than Epps did.

Ugly win vs an ugly team, but some valuable lessons were earned:

I'd get on the phone now about Adams, Mayer, and Tyree. Between them, we could absolutely accumulate a good deal of draft capital for the next year or two.

Tyree and Mayer are going to wind up being depreciating stock as time goes on and they're not featured. Cut them loose while their draft profiles still may hold some influence. They're producing at rates we're seeing from later round guys anyway, some of whom we already have (Snowden, Bryant, Robinson, etc).

Adams' value for us is still a year away, at least, and we're talking a WR inching closer and closer to retirement. I love the guy, but he's a distraction on offense. The gameplay has to go through him, because if it doesn't, heads will roll as soon as it doesn't work to perfection. His status and reputation simply precede logic in that regard. Nothing personal against him, but I think his presence on a team trying to build am identify is just totally miscast.

Good:

  • JPJ & Glaze made the line clearly better
  • Though inexperienced Isaiah Polo Mao is better then Epps I want to see how he looks next to Moehrig
  • Zeus is clearly better than Mattison in this one even if he fumbled and did nothing lol
  • Snowden needs to start going forward
  • No TD scored on the defense after the first Qtr. Impressive showing without Maxx

Bad

  • If the OL doesn't hold And that cooper TD stands we lose this game
  • If Cooper doesn't drop that wide open pass that led to a score from us we lose this game
  • If their kicker doesn't miss the FG we lose this game
  • Nothing that we did on offense scoring wise translates from week to week.

Agree on the Adams part. He’s just not a fit for this franchise with where we are in our “retool” and where he is in his career.
