J-ALL-DAY
Not exactly the cleanest of the games but it was still a blowout and that's good enough in this league. I think this upcoming game will be more exciting and competitive. The Cardinals offense was on fire to start the season but have slowed down the last few weeks. They still have a nice rushing attack and rank amongst the best in total yardage. I don't see our defense shutting down their offense as we even struggled to do so last year before the Ravens game. Murray and the crew are going to get theirs but we just have to contain them enough. I wonder if Sorenson will continue the trend of blitzing more or if he just trusts his four and drops back as the Cardinals like to spread it out. If Warner does not go, then the Cardinals have an advantage and can attack our weak LBs. We have seen Green get more time and I think slowly but surely we need to work in Winters more to replace Campbell. That's the next move. Offensively, we will move the ball and gain 400+ yards as we always do....BUT, can we finish in the RZ at a good clip? We are very mid to start the season and have really only had one good RZ performance and that was week 3 against the Rams. That will need to change and I hope Purdy limits the hits he takes. THIS is the game I think Aiyuk gets off and has over 100+ yards. Mason will get his yards but eventually Shanny will need to find some carries for the other backs so to preserve Mason for later in the season, especially if CMC can't go. DVOA ranks through four weeks (excluding MNF games) Offense - 7th Defense - 5th STs - 31st Overall - 6th The defense numbers are skewed from their dominant performance against the Pats but I don't see a top 5 unit yet. Not even close. If we put together good performances against the Cardinals and Seahawks, then I will change my mind. SF 34 AZ

But last year we got a lot of cover 1 man robber or cover 1 man with a fifth rusher and looked to hit it up vertically down the sidelines against man. This year, we've seen a ton of cover 2 man and quarters. And with those, you either take a quick 4 yards or really have to wait for one deeper route to clear out the safety you are attacking before you get the second guy. And straight up Brock could stand to dial back the aggression just a touch. And I tend to really, really like the aggression because explosive plays are just that valuable that you can take a hit to success rate a bit. But we could use a success rate uptick right now for things to run a bit smoother. Edited October 1 by JIllg

J-ALL-DAY
Releasing Graham in the first place was a suspect decision. Glad that he is back and hopefully he can replace DFF if the team does not trust Bethune yet. This may mean that there is a chance that Warner misses the game on Sunday. Either way, happy this move was made.

Anything to get DFF off the field, I'm for it.

Lacks some speed but he can play and is rangy. Gets off blockers better than Winters. Over/under 170.5 rushing yards for the Cardinals?
WhyAmIHere
I wonder how Mustafa graded out vs the Pats. I'm thinking if he can legit play S, that would allow Sorenson to sub in Huf for Campbell on passing downs; that would be a huge bonus.

Maybe just the rookie thing but so far I don’t trust him at all. Bad angles, hasn’t seen the field well and seems to go to plug the wrong hole. So far not impressed.

SFrush
Glad Jalen Graham is back. A slow linebacker like Campbell against Kyler scrambling is a big concern.
