CAPJ
Any one that can give a good salary cap breakdown? I know we have a few big names to re-sign but do we have any flexibility? Are we at a point where financially it makes sense to move on from Fez, Crawford and others? I read somewhere that we are moving on from Scandrick as well. Texas_OutLaw7
We are in a good spot. Can make changes as needed. Hope we don't get stupid, though.

Basically wants us to get him when he is way on the downside.

He would make a good mentor for our many young players at a minimum. Perhaps he can be the Sean Lee of our secondary. just saying.

Unless the Hawks Franchise Tag him in 2019 (unlikely), he's going to want Eric Berry money (probably $14m). He's a great player, durable, but I'd hate to pay a 30 year old safety that kind of money. He's undersized and likes to slobber-knock, so it could end up being a Dez Bryant scenario where his body breaks down almost overnight leaving us with a $14m paperweight. If he was to take what he makes now (~$10m) or less yeah...I'd entertain that, but not $14m+. Risky. That's just my thought. If we want to get serious about a true safety, we need to invest a top pick for one (focusing on extincts/production rather than a freakish workout warrior).
