RaidersAreOne
This is an enormous topic and all fingers are pointing to the Jets at the moment. I think this deserves it's own thread, even as an opposing fan lol.
RaidersAreOne
How would people feel about an Adams trade to New York? What kind of compensation would you expect? I am curious of Reddick would be included in a package or not.
drew39k
My guess would be something like Reddick and Corley for Devante and some depth dl guy.
drew39k
I also wonder if this might be a situation where we trade for devante then turn around and trade lazard or Williams to kc to recoup some of the trade cost.
JetsandI
Adams has bum hamstring so I don't know if he will make a big difference for Jets. If Jets take a shot at him then Wilson and low draft pick for Adams and high pick. That way Jets could have Rodgers next year as Wilson apparently doesn't fit in Rodgers' offense. Rodgers and Adams combination could require south 80m new money for 2025 if stay. Forget it.

I don't think anyone is worried about the money next year. If they want to play together again Rodgers and Adams will figure that out. They are one of the greatest QB/WR duo I've ever seen. Rodgers back to back MVP seasons Davante was like 70% of our offense.
jetfuel34
I don't see the Raiders getting much for him. He is a 32 year old WR that has a 25 mill cap. Unless the Raiders eat some of that money I don't see much movement. I do think in the end he ends up a Jet and the Raiders get like a 4th round pick. Maybe a 3rd but I highly doubt it because there is no real bidding war. I know the Raiders will try to create one but i don't see it happening. Heavy money investment in duo may screw Jets cap plan if Rodgers is done. Extra careful is upmost requirement there.

Problem is the only high pick we have is our first.

Let's hope there is no other team that willingly forks 2nder.

StatKing
3 hours ago, JetsandI said: hope so. I would bet money on it he doesn't retire unless the rest of the year ends up being a complete disaster. The guy is just too competitive to be able to walk away when he can still play at a high level. I never took any of the retirement talk here in GB serious because you never heard him utter a peep about it until we drafted Love. He had always previously said the dream end to his career would be to play until he's 45 and walk off into the sunset after winning the Super Bowl. He's going to give the Jets at least two healthy seasons.
