naptownskinsfan
I think we’re forgetting the 2020 season and the NFC East, where the Washington Football Team took the crown with a losing record, having such luminary QBs take snaps, such as a rebuilt Alex Smith, Dwayne Haskins, Kyle Allen and Taylor Heinecke. WheatieMan
This Bills/Jets game is probably the biggest regular season AFCE game in recent memory... mostly because the Pats, and now the Bills have dominated for so long without a real equal. I still think the Jets/Bills are SB contenders, but the loser of this game will probably be out of the running, at least unless things magically turn around later in the year. I think the Bills/Dolphins game from week 18 last season was bigger lol. I also don’t think win or lose either team is a SB contender. Divisional round game at best IMO. This will be Rogers versus Allen. The coaching matchup isn't really there, but Sean will probably be fired if he doesn't make another deep run this year. Would have had more juice if Saleh was still there.

The funny thing is if the eagles would beat Washington in the final game of the season, the giants with Joe Judge as head coach would won the NFC east at 6-10!!!! WizeGuy
It's looking as if the Bills should run away with the division unless injuries hit even harder. Buffalo is probably a slight tier below the contenders, but still a really good team. The Jets are probably a 7-to-9-win team. Average-to-below-average but not a contender. Miami losing their starting QB + all their other injuries derailed their season. They're probably competing for a WC spot if healthy. NE is still rebuilding. They have their potential QB of the future, but there's still a lot of building left to do. So, I don't see the AFCE as dysfunctional. There's one really good team, an average-to-below-average team, a solid team that got decimated by injuries, and one team still rebuilding. Glad the AFCE appears to be easier than years past given this is Buffalo's retool year.

The Bills have essentially a 3 game lead on the Jets for the division with the easy part of the bills schedule coming up (titans, dolphins, colts, seattle). The Dolphins I don't think will be contenders for the division this year with the Tua injury. If Matt Milano returns before the playoffs and Cooper opens up the offense like I think he can, this team could be looking like a contender for the SB. Time and health will tell.
