This goes against everything we heard pre-draft, and may just be piling on fodder as part of Cowboys current situation. Something to keep an eye though.

I don’t recall this about Guyton pre-draft. Definitely people got excited post-draft because it did seem like he was bought in and working really hard. But I don’t recall the pre-draft piece.

I’m pretty sure you’re right now that you mention this. Believe he did some work with Manyweather.

Yeah nothing we heard pre-draft or even really during camp said anything about Guyton not being a hard worker.

Well to be fair we wouldn't really know his work ethic without being there and without speaking to his coaches. It is possible Dallas knew but thought it was something they could coach him through, loving the athleticism and promise of what it can bring, to the point they were confident in their ability to shore up his shirt comings

Or it's completely nonsense .. no real way to ever know

But when I watch him (remember, I was an OL and OL assistant so it's kind of where I made my bones...) I don't see a poor work ethic. He definitely hustles when he is out there. But his mechanics are very poor and he has no push when he engages. It's really a poor showing of upper body strength, balance, and footwork.

And if he is out there at LT, I'm not so worried about him getting Dak hurt as I am him getting Tyler Smith hurt. Cause that kind of revolving door play on the edge of an OL can and usually WILL cause the man next to you to roll up over your unbalanced behind getting knocked to the turf. And we all know how bad that can be for these big guys knees and ankles.

Fixing the Cowboys have huge limitations regardless of suggestions. Not really even talking about the albatross of the Contract with Dak. But rather the root of it all. Jerry. Higher all the new contractors you want, you can only do so much building on Sand. Until JJ is under the Sand (Dirt) himself, aren't these threads redundant to every season for almost 30 years??

The circus goes on............

Good, I'm glad these "things" are coming out into the open. I hope they keep coming from former and current players. This stupid ish needs to be out in the open. It may not change anything, but these things still need to be disclosed.

So 70,000 fans, many of which are of the opposing team at home or almost all of which are the opposing team when on the road, doesn't distract these guys at all. But  a dozen fans on a tour walking past behind sound proof glass bothers them?

Sorry not buying it

Also, every new stadium built after At&T stadium offeds similar tours. Dallas will just always be at the forefront of every negative possible cause, Dallas

Still. Not buying it.

Yeah but it’s not just AT&T stadium, it’s the Star in Frisco too. The massive training complex they use throughout the week. From what I’ve been reading over the course of the last week, 31 other teams don’t let the tours into the workout (gym) areas, the meeting rooms, the practice fields, player dining areas. Just the Stadium itself.

But again. Who cares?

How can they play and execute in front of 70 to 80 thousand rowdy fans at away stadiums and and home games. But claim they are distracted by a half dozen to a dozen people on a tour of the training facility? And ever tried to schedule a tour? I have. They are vastly expensive and very limited. So it isn't like a group of 60 people walking through the hoover dam on a tour lol. It's small groups and on specific days and times, not a constant parade of hundreds of people.

So yeah. Not buying it at all

And you know another reason I'm calling this nonsense from these players?

Not just cause they can play in front of 70,000 people but are claiming 6 people walking past is a distraction ... Lol

But because it isn't like the people on the tour are sitting through meetings. Or interacting with the players in anyway. At most they might see a couple guys in the weight room or walking through the halls. But there's zero interaction. And I fail to see how 6 or 10 people seeing you lifting weights prevents you from executing on Sunday or prevents the team from winning games.

It's nonsense being blown out of proportion by the media because anything with 'Dallas Cowboys' in the headline sells. Positive or negative. But especially negative. It's the same reason every top FA or high profile player seeking a trade is linked to Dallas. Cause saying 'Davante Adams seems trade; Dallas interested?' will get a ton of clicks even if there is no merit to the headline whatsoever.

Sorry but this is just total bs. A few strangers seeing you lift weights or walking to practice (if EVEN that) has no bearing on how well you pay or how well you execute or if the team wins games. It's a non factor.
