vike daddy
have your mod just change this over to your own Game Day Thread, but it's a short week, ya know... O'Connell, who served as the Rams offensive coordinator for two seasons under McVay, is going back to Cali. O'Connell: "Thank goodness for the viewing pleasure at home, it's not going to be Sean and I going 1-on-1. I think he's probably quicker, a little bit more sudden change, But I've definitely got the length and sneaky athleticism – maybe. You can't get too carried away with that because it's still going to be 11 players in Vikings uniforms playing against 11 L.A. Rams in their uniforms." "He's one of my closest friends in this league, I have so much love for him. I'll always look back on those two years together as incredibly impactful. Winning a Super Bowl was something that I will not ever forget, for sure. I have so much respect for him – how he runs that organization, his leadership, his football intellect. He's as good as it gets, and I've got nothing but love for him, and will always be like that." "One of the things that probably made me feel so prepared for this job, was Sean's willingness to allow me to be a part of things that maybe at other places offensive coordinators aren't a part of. I got to see a lot, learn a lot, ask a lot of questions – probably one too many for his liking. I think the process of that organization, the culture, the people, the player ownership-led kind of driving force which went behind that bar being raised during my time there to eventually winning the last game we got to play together at SoFi in the Super Bowl was a culmination of a lot of things." vikings.com

stl4life07
I think the 1st half was great for the Rams. A slow start on the defense and a slow ending on the offense. But to be tied 14 all with Kyren, Puka, and Kupp firing on all cylinders I love. The defense started to come alive the last few possessions. Should be a fun 2nd half. Best of luck. Hope you guys win the north. My heart won’t be able to bear a Goff SB, even though I wish him the best. It’ll be like the ex you had 4 abortions with get married with Bezos. Wow guys what a win. We needed that. Boy did Stafford look good out there. The oline was phenomenal against a tough Vikings D. Defense woke up and clamped down after the 1st. Love to see it. Verse is our best player but can he please wrap up!? Progress is progress but my goodness. McVay was great. Puka was unreal. Kyren ran hard. Oline was the MVP. Let’s beat Seattle next week and enjoy this ride. Things can only get better. What a game boys.

I do think our offense played really well but I don’t know if the Vikings D just didn’t play as well as they usually do or if the offense was just that good. Felt really good to get this win. Even better to finally see the receivers back. From Puka and Kupp to Robinson and tutu going back to the roles they should be playing. First two drives were rough for the defense. Looked like they were about to be in a wild shootout and get steam rolled but they righted up and held Jones to subpar game for his standards. Also not sure what they did but after the first the second quarter we didn’t hear from JJ much. A 100 yard day from JJ is a win any day. Still couldn’t finish and wrap up on many pressures and TFLs. Luckily a couple went incomplete or back to the LOS. Other weeks it ended very poorly. At least they did get a couple sacks. Verse is going to be unbelievable once he can consistently finish tackles. unsung here - Ethan Evans. Dude did an unbelievable job today. Don’t remember the last time we were on the winning side of pinning someone inside the 5 for a final drive.

vike daddy
@SeifertESPN Vikings pressured Matthew Stafford on only 3 of his 34 dropbacks. That 9% pressure rate was their lowest in a game since 2020, per ESPN Research.

Gillmore looks absolutely cooked.
