Further, a 39-yo with 3 tackles and 1 sack isn't exactly the most compelling signing for a lot of the remaining contenders.

1 sack over 40 snaps? That's elite rate of production. Over a whole season that would be like 24 sacks.

Steelers will rue the day.

Rate stats are nearly meaningless at that level.  The fact that he hasn't been on the field for more than 5 games and 40 snaps very much calls into question what he can offer moving forward.  I don't think the Steelers are idiots.

Harrison will most likely be to Trey Flowers what he had been to T.J. Watt in Pittsburgh: A rotational player to at best offer a quality blend of pass rush and edge setting behind the starting option; a player that is not a liability but one whose impact can also be minimal at times. The Steelers opted to employ him that way as they clearly wanted to give higher-upside rookie Watt as much snaps as possible.

That's just blatantly not true. As far as how valuable that experience is, that depends on a lot of other factors, but being on the field doesn't effect your ability to teach others.

i think that speaks volumes.

even 15 sacks is good, but when a teammate has 6 and played all year, he should reconsider the sarcasm of Harrison being a mentor. It will be time to hit the field and when these 2 teams do, there could be some old school hitting in the game.  Just hope it isn't like the bungles games where players are carted off and suspended etc.

The Steelers aren't doing the same things on defense they were when Harrison set the franchise record for sacks. And there was already some pretty good hitting in the last contest while Harrison sat on the sidelines. Dupree is not a perfect player. But he doesn't lack physicality.

Bud will bring the pain, no doubt - ask matt moore:D He just isn't a RD1 3-4 OLB and never will produce as such. Effort never a concern with dupree, just slow off the snap and in the nfl that just won't pass.

He signed for only $59,000 O.o

If you look closely, he gets to keep the mower that he will use at Foxborough too though. Bill threw in a sweet one for him. Tomlin only offered him the chance to borrow it once a week.
