Week 9! Jaguars @ Eagles. Can the birds make it 4 in a row???

Recommended Posts

It has come to my attention that ever since I started making these GDT's that the Eagles have started to look like an actual professional football team, and so I take sole responsibility in this streak and everything good that has happened. This magic doesnt come cheap so I take donations...

Dougie P and his ice cream fiend return to Philly for the 2nd time, however there is no hurricane or monsoon to play in this time 🙏

Kelly green makes its 2024 debut and after the team's performance at Cincy I have no doubt that the Linc will be rocking.

Jacksonville is 2-6 after coming off a heartbreaker loss to Green Bay in which GB hit a game winning FG to end the game. Was that the last push the Jags had in them? We'll see on Sunday. Jaguars are pretty banged up on their offensive side of the ball and a few key pieces will be questionable to play. They just traded their season long starting LT after he was benched on Sunday, so we'll see if Sweat can make a few plays.

Looking forward to seeing if the Eagles can continue to work on getting better and better on both sides of the ball. Hopefully now that we're on some significant momentum we can keep it rolling.

We slaughtered some cats last weekend and pissed on PETA. I say lets do it again.

Will the Eagles get Dougie P fired for a 2nd time??

Will the Eagles get a blow out win for the 3rd week in a row and Make Eagles Fans Horny Again??? Lets find out!

How good is Jacksonville's defense? They have some talent there, but haven't heard anything about them.

Their run defense is about middle of the pack, however their pass defense is 2nd worst in the league as far as yards, and tied for 1st in TDs given.

Well just like the last 3 games, it starts in the trenches.

Get pressure on TLaw, good things can happen.  Give him all day to throw, things could get ugly.

Impose our will upfront on offense by running the ball, it will open things up down the field in the passing game.

Limit the penalties, get off the field on 3rd downs defensively and we should win, Should!

Just stay healthy!!! We need all hands on deck the next 2 weeks for divisional match ups vs Dallas/Washington.

PS: If indeed both Kirk and BTJ are out, can We please figure out a way to limit Evan Engram? Put Cooper on him? Two players, don't care.

We should dominate this game and I am predicting we do. I think the defense is settling into the scheme and our rookie CB’s both are difference makers. The offense will continue to win with a balanced attack. Eagles by 2 scores. Just need to stay healthy. I am happy to hold Goedert out til next week as Calcaterra has been really good. We do miss the blocking though.

I eluded to it above but what would be the best coverage on Evan Engram?

He's not your typical TE, runs WR routes, 6'3" 240. Do we treat him like Mike Evans? Any chance Q shadows him on his 1/2 of the field? Not travel, but if in the slot, on his side of the field, so be it? Will it be DeJean? Bracket?

I ask because he will be peppered with targets, peppered!!! At no point do I want to see Maddox and or Nolan in coverage on him.

Just curious your thoughts?

like I said, it’s possible it’s been coaching

no coincidence the offense looks more like a Kellen Moore offense the last couple weeks

The offense didn’t have to be the way it was. Play action, under center, screens. These all could’ve been there.

sexy ahh injury report (aesthetically speaking… not cause of what it says)

Goedert on track to miss his 3rd game since the injury and missed most of the Browns game too as I believe he got hurt on the first series. It’s turning out like we probably should’ve put him on IR, but obviously the Eagles thought they could get him back in less than 4 weeks… hopefully he can return next week against the Cowboys.

I’m guessing Carter and Dickerson are just kinda like rest days. We’ve seen that a couple weeks ago with Carter.
