G08
Was looking at potential FAs for my God-awful Bears... wanted to check in with ya'll and see what was up with Pryor. I was thinking he would have a huge season this year with Cousins throwing him the hoochie, but that clearly didn't materialize. Was he just a bad player/last year with Cleveland was an aberration? Did he not fit in your offense/was he a malcontent? Was he just injured all season? Dude's only 28 and has a rare size/speed ratio for a WR that makes me think he'd be worthy of a one year flyer. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance gents!

Your thoughts? Thanks in advance gents! He wasn't injured all year, but he never seemed to get on the same page with Cousins. Pryor doesn't get a ton of separation, he seems to lean more on winning one-on-one battles through his size and physicality. Kirk Cousins doesn't like to throw up 50-50 balls, he only targets open WRs, so I don't know that Pryor was the right kind of WR for him. Its kind of the same problem Dez Bryant is having with Dak Prescott in Dallas. Pryor seems to have good work ethic but he's still really raw. If I were another team I'd be willing to bring him in on another 1-year prove it deal. I'd say his time in Washington is over though.

No, but right around the time of his benching he ended up getting hurt so it never really played out that way.

I'm guessing you want nothing to do with this dude coming back, huh

If he took a pay cut why not. Honestly though he’s not a great fit it’s probably better for both sides to move on.

He didn’t mesh well with the offense and what they wanted him to do, didn’t mesh well with Cousins in the passing game and had multiple drops in every game which was a huge problem the first month of the season. He has a lot of untapped potential but he’s not a young player anymore. He’s still a project and that’s not good for a 28-year old WR. The Redskins have Doctson as their young wr who’s developing just like you have Merideth & Kevin White. Better to just develop your own.

Truth... honestly I would just bring him in on a cheap one year deal as a hedge to if(when?) Kevin White goes on IR.

MKnight82
@G08 I forgot to mention he had a pretty bad case of the dropsies this year.

Pros: Fast Big Athletic Cons: Can't separate Can't catch Runs poor routes (when he does separate he doesn't give the QB a good angle - which is weird, you'd expect an ex-QB to know this) Is not instinctually a WR so the little things you would expect a WR to do to set up the DBs he doesn't do Verdict: Take him. We can't use him.
