Johnny Nix
Pick one current projected starter to be replaced by years end on offense and defense. - offense G Andre Smith if history is any indication, Andre Smith is not going to last a full 16 games. I believe Westerman or TJ Johnson is gonna take his spot at some point and not give it back. - defense DE Michael Johnson he might remain this "starter" all season, but I believe his snaps are going to be distributed among the depth at DE. If he survives cuts this year, he will most certainly be gone next
Beck Bristow
I guess the obvious guy on offense is Hill. Mixon should be starting easily by season's end. Defensively, I'm saying Adam Jones. One of the young corners overtakes him.
theJ
I think J Hill obviously if he manages to start week 1. But that feels like cheating, so. Offense Brandon Lafell - think by the end of the season he'll be the #4 behind Ross and Boyd. Defense Adam Jones - maybe wishful thinking but I wanted to be bold. Think wjiii takes over for him by mid-season. Maybe due to injury or something. Wally pipped.
MrCincinnati
Lots of interesting choices. For the offense, the most obvious would have to be Hill and Lafell being put in favor of guys like Mixon and Ross. So the tough guesses are the OL. I'm going bold though and saying Ogbuehi is going to be a huge disaster to the point the Bengals no choice but to bench him. I think Smith will probably lose his job, but because of an injury not because of bad play. Crossing my fingers that Bodine losses his job to somebody, unless he finally steps it up. Defense is a lot harder choices. As great as it would be to see Michael Johnson get benched, I don't see it happening. Willis and Lawson will compete for that job next year. Vincent Rey may lose his job to Vigil, assume he's even the week 1 starter, which may not even happen to begin. I agree with Beck on this one and I'm thinking Adam Jones is on the last of his 9 lives.

Johnny Nix
I think the only other player that could see his spot overtaken is Minter. His deal is only for what, 1 year? One of the rookies could impress if he struggles in our system

But yeah, probably no one else that hasn't been mentioned.

But honestly, I'm not convinced Johnson will get bumped from being the actual starter, especially since they guys gunning for his spot will be pass rush specialists. Marvin loves his veterans, clearly to a fault. See: Maualuga, Rey. Just to bring up different guys, I'll start with either LaFell or Boyd. Depending on where they see Ross' best fit, I could see him starting over one of them by season's end. Hopefully, it would be over LaFell, especially since I just picked Boyd to be a darkhorse breakout player. On defense, I hope William Jackson takes over the outside and Jones moves to the slot. For some reason, I don't think Dennard sees a penny of that 5th year option from the team.

Although i'm not sure they won't be able to resign him cheap. I can't see the interest from other teams being very high. They'd be signing him off of college tape from 5 years ago. He hasn't really proved anything to this point, and its sad really, because i was so hyped for that pick at the time. I thought he was gonna be a lock down corner like Leon Hall was for years.
