Just finally watched this kid Genard Avery. We need this guy. He’s currently projected to go 3rd round, looks like a future stud. No hands though. We’re all excited about quarterbacks and safeties and linebackers (oh my) and they go out and select a boring lineman. Ozzie goes out wearing the troll face.? If he's viewed as a Nick Mangold type talent, it would be quintessential Ozzie to do this and lock up the position that touches the ball as much as the QB. There have been rumors that the Bengals like him at #21 too, which would also keep him away from a divisional opponent. I would understand being trigger shy about a potential injury guy in the 1st. Yea, they took a flier on Smith, but that was a top-15 caliber guy in the second. Just my $0.02. During that timespan we've consistently been known for taking Bama players and nobody has really said that Ozzie hasn't been running it. So who knows.
