ChaRisMa
List your team, the players you expect to be drafted (or just be a training camp body if you wish), position, ideally a short thought on his pro potential and/or role, and best guess at draft position. Wisconsin Badgers (HOLY CRAP THIS FORUMS FONT COLOR SETUP IS THE CATS PAJAMAS) OL Michael Dieter. JR. 6'6" 315 LBS. Versatile, having seen reps at LT, G, and C. A four year starter for a Badger program that churns out NFL OL. Not a special talent but a guy you can rely on to perform against big uglies. Every year there seems to be one Badger OL who jumps up boards, but for now, his ceiling is limited by the lack of great experience at LT. Projected Round: 3-4. TE Troy Fumagalli. 6'6" 245 LBS. Big target was a terror in front of safeties and seemed to get away from linebacker coverage well enough despite not being a speed guy. Should be in the league for a while a la former Badger Garrett Graham, but won't be a dominant pass threat. Projected Round: 3-4. ILB Jack Cichy. 6'2" 220 LBS. He's going to be a WILL LB in a 43 rather than a 34 ILB, but his instincts are there and he's the lunch pail type coaches never seem to be able to get enough of. With a torn pectoral muscle ending his 2016 campaign a little prematurely, his draft stock largely depends on his health this year. Projected Round: 5-7. Update: Cichy torn ACL, out for season. Jlash
Rutgers Janarion Grant WR/RB/KR/PR 5'10 170. He's really the only reason to watch RU football at this point. Missed most of last year but go watch some highlights of this guy, he's insane. Kemoko Turay DE 6'5 245. More name than game at this point. But if he can stay healthy maybe he can do something this year. There are a couple other guys who with a big season could jump into late round consideration but you never know with this team. IDOG_det
Michigan QB Wilton Speight, rJR: Took over as the starter last year, will likely be the starter again this year. Not a top end QB prospect, likely a backup in the NFL but has the potential to prove to be more than that this season. Likely declares after this season, he probably won't be able to hold off the young guys (Brandon Peters and Dylan McCaffrey) behind him if he stays for his 5th season.RB Ty Isaac, rSR: Not a great athlete, but he's good in pass protection and catches the ball well. Might stick on a practice squad somewhere and work his way up to a backup role. Likely won't see too many carries this season with the young running backs that have brought into the offense.FB Khalid Hill, rSR: Was a tight end, transitioned to a FB/H-Back role and really excelled there. Someone will have interest in him. He was great for Michigan as a short yardage runner.LT Mason Cole, SR: Moving back to left tackle this season after spending a year at center. Might end up moving back to center in the NFL, he did pretty well there despite only having one offseason to make the transition. Solid player, should go in the first few rounds.C Patrick Kugler, rSR: He hasn't really played much yet, but he is currently slated to be the starting center. If true freshman Cesar Ruiz doesn't beat him out for the starting job, he will have every opportunity to impress. More than likely he won't get much NFL attention, but it might be worth paying attention to him.DT Maurice Hurst Jr., rSR: Stood out last year on a talented DL and will be the leader on the DL alongside Rashan Gary. Really explosive player than can play the run and rush the passer. Should be in 1st round consideration after the season.LB Mike McCray, rSR: Struggled with injuries earlier in his career, got the chance to start last year and did pretty well. Not a great athlete, but he has very good size for a linebacker. Should interest teams that like larger inside linebackers.
titansNvolsR#1
Tennessee: WR, Jauan Jennings LB, Darrin Kirkland CB, Shaq Wiggins S, Todd Kelly TE, Ethan Wolf Some less likely options: DT, Shy Tuttle DE, Jonathan Kongbo CB, Justin Martin CB, Emmanuel Mosely
SteelKing728
Pitt Jordan Whitehead: rounds 2-3 (1st round talent who will fall because of potential character concerns I think) Brian O'Neill: late round pick. Could stay another year. Jester Weah: interesting but probably a late round/UDFA. Should have a strong year. Max Browne is not an NFL player. Cheesehawk
Iowa Rb: Akrum Wadley was in a busy backfield last season with LeShun Daniels and Jordan Canzeri, yet still managed 6.4 YPC going over 1000 yards with 10 touchdowns on the ground. He also contributed several more TDs in the passing game. True test will be this season as he will be the primary back. Rounds 2-4 ILB: Josey Jewell a 2x All-Big Ten Second Teamer, 2016 Butkus Award Finalist, and now entering 2017 on the Bednarik watch list. Josey is a pure instinctual ILB. Finished 2nd in the Big Ten with 124 tackles last season. He's isn't going to bring you a lot of pass rush, but you will be getting a heck of a ILB that can play the gaps and stuff a run, and a team leader. Excited to see what he does in his senior season. Rounds 3-6 RG: Sean Welsh What's an Iowa prospect list without an offensive lineman? Brian Ferentz develops NFL caliber lineman, simple as that. Academic All Big Ten. This will be his third year as a starter at RG. While he has earned looks as a 2nd Team All Big-Ten, he is undersized for the position at 6'3" 290, but some time in an NFL weight room will change that. Really likable guy though as he just wrote about his battles with depression and how he desires to be an advocate for research on it. Rounds 3-6 I think you're underselling him a little bit. He's got good size for a LB, he's a very underrated athlete, and he's a very smart player as well. He pretty much always makes the right decisions and reads the offense well. He's pretty solid in coverage and matches up well against tight ends. He doesn't really miss tackles in the open field. He can take on offensive lineman at the college level and should fare pretty well there in the NFL as well. I think he could be a 1st round or 2nd round linebacker if he keeps working on becoming a better athlete, keeps working on getting stronger, and gets a little better/more consistent in coverage. If you watch the tape and just focus on him, he's really impressive.
