TheOnlyThing
The Packers D has been mediocre to poor for 7 straight seasons or ever since they won the Super Bowl in 2010 with a very good defense. The performances in GB's last 7 playoff losses are hard to believe: -493 yards (Atlanta 44-21) 2016, -368 yards (Arizona, 26-20) 2015 -397 yards (Seattle, 28-22) 2014 -381 yards (San Francisco, 23-20) 2013 -579 yards (San Francisco, 45-31) 2012 -420 yards (New York Giants, 37-20) 2011 -531 yards (Arizona, 51-45) 2009 So Capers defenses in Green Bay gave up 44 or more points in 3 playoff losses. Meanwhile, in Tom Brady's 283 starts, NE's D has never once given up 44 points. With Rodgers out most of the season and the team exposed for what it is without him, Capers was the obvious fall guy for coach McCarthy and GM Thompson. vike daddy
Defensive coordinator Dom Capers isn’t the only assistant fired in Green Bay. Inside linebackers coach Scott McCurley and defensive line coach Mike Trgovac also were let go, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports. Trgovac previously was mentioned as a possibility to replace Capers. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/01/01/packers-fire-linebackers-defensive-line-coaches-too/

Pretty sure he was the longest tenured coordinator in the league. I could be wrong on that though.

MacReady
It will be really nice if Rodgers could get a top 10 defense for the second time in his career.
