My comment was made when it was originally reported as a felony charge of third degree theft. At noon my phone alerted me to this news story as a felony theft. Which is why it’s been mentioned here as such earlier.

DreamKid
Funny thing is, Marlon is a great kid from a great family and now his stupid drunken boneheadedness will earn him the typical perception our players usually get. Also he'll have to endure his teammates constantly singing "Marlon's got two phone- chargers".
diamondbull424
And that’s what upsets me the most. The fact that he is a good kid, you’d think he would be smart enough to avoid situations like this that are so small but can be so damaging. Just imagine if we were in the playoffs and he gets himself suspended for a game because of a stupid cell phone charger. I wonder if Goodell will respond by suspension or if this will be deemed small enough to simply be provided a fair warning of harsh consequences in the event of anything further. The simple solution, which Lardarius Webb and other former Bama people said yesterday, is GTFO of Alabama once you graduate. Why are you going back to campus? Just such a stupid thing. You graduated, you're making good money in the league, you have zero reason to go back and hang out with college people and do stupid crap like this. Yeah and the one thing I HOPE this incident will teach Humphrey is that. On the bright side this incident shouldn’t turn out to be crazy serious. But HOPEFULLY Humphrey looks at this from the perspective of, this could have been a lot worse... and uses a simply infraction to teach him a big life lesson. But time will only tell. RavensfanRD
Am I the only one who's ready for the giggles of the "State of the Ravens" Presser? For the second time ever, Steve shows they have no balls at the Castle and I'm very, very disappointed about it. Why isn't Ozzie, Harbs and the crew not going to be there this time? They're at every other State Presser, why you gun shy now? And you're doing it the weekend of the Superbowl? Pathetic and weak. Hope the story is good though! Because they won’t be there? To be honest I hope they’re busy scouting offensive players. They’ve been at all the other ones and our drafts haven’t been up to snuff. Hopefully them missing it this year means they’re dialed in on having a game breaking draft class.

It's all in during the good times, they should be present during the really bad times as well. It's bad enough how they finessed the press conference, but to not have all the main people there is in poor taste to me. Don't be "Sometimesy" when everything is peaches and cream. I also hope they're busying scouting, but I highly doubt that's the case. I don't care that much that they aren't going to be there, I just found it to be a little "meh" and gutless since they're always there. But since we had a nuclear end to the season, now all of a sudden we wanna wait to hold the presser and not have everyone show up. Just read wrong to me, but like I said, I honestly don't care because they normally give out "coach speak" anyway. Just found it odd and out of place with them not all showing up. But hopefully they are working away and getting ready to draft Captain Kirk, Gallup, and Chubbs. I'M HERE FOR IT!

They can take an hour out of their day to address the very legitimate concerns about the state of this team, IMO.
DontTazeMeBro
I mean really. What are these press conferences? Mostly the media trying to get these guys to tip their hand about their offseason strategy. I like them. But there really isn’t a whole lot to be gained from them as far as I can see

A stupid kid who gets drunk and commits stupid, boneheaded crimes. Some of these kids need it written into their contracts that, if they do stuff like this, they risk forfeiting all the money they've been paid by the organisation. On 1/25/2018 at 12:54 PM, Darth Pees said: Nobody would ever sign that contract out of fear of having a situation happen where it's an honest mistake and now they're paying back everything they've been paid. Having your entire professional contract teetering on the potential for charges of stealing a $15 charger is a bit absurd, no?

Meh. Like DTMB alluded to, they don’t actually say anything worthwhile in them. And anything that can be said there can be seen in interviews done at the senior bowl, east west shrine, combine, prodays, and such. Let them spend time with their families, recover, look at as much tape as they possibly can. Anything that they haven’t been doing that can lead to a playoff/super bowl result on the field next year. Its the offseason and this press conference isn’t something that’s mandatory. I’d rather catch them in a candid spot. They’re more apt to reveal info after seeing a player do something amazing at the senior bowl then cramped up with all the cameras on you at a press conference. At least that’s how I see it.
